German banks have long dumped their Greek sovereign holdings into the lap of the ECB reducing exposure to negligible levels. It's the equivalent of after escaping the Titanic on the precious few boats, you then condemn those left on the Titanic to heroic death because they were simply dumb enough to be left behind
