  • Hello I wanted knowledge I have a sony vaio vgn ux 180p with a hard disk of 30 Go I would like to change him(it) but which typifies of connections for this hard disk ZIF or Pata, thank you.

  • You replaced it with a pata or zif, did it format correctly. Can I buy your old drive from you mine died.

  • i like your crotch

  • Thats pretty coo. Where did you get your tools?? I wanted to replace my very small gb with a 48gb ssd. Any ideas where I can get one?? Thank you for your timely response

  • @alphanemises

    ebay it probably the cheapest

  • So you can mod things, right. But can you freaking edit your videos?? Seriously, do we need to see how you unscrew screws to open a cover. It took about 30% of your video to just do that... my gosh.

  • @888Va888 It's nice to see how to open it

  • Have you had a video problem ? where the screen shows blank or black, no video thru vga port either ? this happened after doing a reset to original configuration... what could it be? is there a graphics card in it I could replace ?

  • @j3hdz i had that problem but when i switched to XP it dissappeared :)

  • Great video! Any 1.8" pata ssd fits?

  • you're wrong! i used a zif to 2.5" ide to 3.5" ide converter and formatted drive in windows, then used zif to 2.5" adapter to place drive in my laptop, works great, was able to install windows, and my battery lasts longer.

  • It's not possible use ipod toshiba disk on ux or another windows/mac device! Bios detect it, but cannot be formated because is in not supported ATA mode.

When the UX booting it is beeping - that is signal of disk problem (0200: Failure Fixed Disk 0).

  • 1,8"

  • @TomaCukor No this is a 1.8" with ZIF connector.

Same drives found in iPods and these drives are manufactured by Toshiba and Hiatchi.

  • Kool really!

  • I would like to upgrade. Would u tell me where to buy for the best price. Thank you for the video it's was more than good.

  • unless I've missed something... thats not really a mod... just a hard drive upgrade? Have I missed something?

  • Do I speak English? Well; mod is an abbreviation for the word modification. Modification is not simply a term for change it's a change that deviates from the standard. I.e. replacing one standard item for another standard item is not a modification. Thats a replacement or, as you say a change. A modification is different to simply a change although a modification is a type of change. I would suggest you buy a dictionary my friend.

  • he meant upgrade.

  • i cant tell what you were doing. were you upgrading memory, just opening it up, or changing from HDD to SSD?

  • I feels like watching horror movie

  • I agree, it freaks me out

  • lol

  • you make it look pretty simple. So did you go from a 30gig to 80gig?

Secondly.. what did you use to shoot, record, edit, and load that video?.. its very clean and clear.
