  • Hey hey it's saturday got mileage from this song

  • I first heard this song in a piano bar in Boston about 25 years ago. The woman playing the piano told me her father used to sing it to her when she was a child. She taught me the words and when she would play the song, that would then be my solo. Eventually, others learned the words and joined in. The bar is now gone 15-20 years, but I still love this song.

  • I discovered this song when playing the sound track of Dennis Potters "Pennies from Heaven" during our regular Friday night binge and booze sessions, maybe 15 years ago. I still love it. Many thanks to RR55

  • If you must binge, choose the finest soundtrack! Glad you're also a fan,

    -RR

  • When I pretend I'm gay I never fell that way..

made me smile.....But then Gay was a beautiful word in those days...

lovely the title of the song...painting the clouds with sunshine.

  • Ha! Warm and timeless sentiments, certainly. ;)

    Best wishes,

    -RR
