@darthelghastN7 The Bible is testimony. Yes, it is divinely inspired; however, it is told through the eyes and ears of people of the time in which it was told. It is testimony based on the experience of those who lived through it. It was not intended to be a substitute for scientific discovery, which incidentally should not be hindered by one's choice to believe in God. It is meant to inspire the faithful to a more positve and healthy spirit and ability to love and serve one another.

Besides,if you get hung up on whether or not you have "proof," you can't take the next step to explore the wisdom in the Bible to explore how it applies to your life personally, which has nothing to do with what happend at the beginning of time and can't be changed. I don't believe scientific observation debunks the existance of God at all.
Faith is very important, though. It can carry people through tough times. Looking at the past and trying to figure out if it is all true is not nearly as important as applying the lessons learned in your life here and now. I don't have to prove that Methuselah lived to be over 900 years old to believe in God any more than I have to believe that George Washington chopped down the cherry tree to believe George Washington existed. I have never understood the benefit of being an athiest.

Every church member should be required to read the whole bible. The word of God should be able to stand on its own. There shouldn't be any denominational spin on what God actually says. I'm sure that God is competent enough to speak understandably about his record... no human interpretation required.

It was purely a political decision on his part to stop his pagan empire falling. There is no biblical reference to sunday being the sabeth and according to the new testiment the sabbath is not even a day the sabbath is actualy christ himself.

I would never condone someone telling another that they cannot have a faith system, I can disagree with their beliefs but never try to force the issue. But there are massive amounts of evidence that The Holy Bible is inaccurate in just about every page. The Bible has been shown to contain some of the most evil acts committed by this so called loving god, therefore it cannot be the source of human morality. It seems more likely it would be used as a political control device.

I am a Christian and Im sorry if any of you had a horrible experience while attending a church. Many churches do ignore the Bible or miscontrue what the Bible is actually saying. I am sorry.

As a Christian, while I'm no fan of any blasphemy, I found at least part of this to be hilarious. Personnally, I gotta admit this is funny stuff cuz this is likely what it would be like if Atheism got into the Churchianity business(Praise Nothing=Typical Line of the Atheist Pastor), nonetheless, I do think some of you do need Christ and not just for fire-insurance or some BS buzz that you only get when the church band plays emotionally-manipulating music or something like that.

The bible says theres a penalty about planting different crops side by side. If someone curses thier father or mother they should be put to death. Actually even worse... any child who is stubborn or rebellious should be stoned to death. Anyone who curses god should be put to death by the community. My point about noahs ark is that jesus still believes in the stories in there even though they are clearly immoral. What about the unborn babies in the pregnant women? What about the children? God could never flood the world without killing innocents and jesus thinks it alright.
did u read the rest of tht passage? it goes on to say "how much more will the Blood of Christ, who through the holy spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works to serve the living God?" he is making a comparison to bring up a point. and in hebrews 10: 4. it tells us tht it is impossible for the blood of animals to cleanse us of our sins.
and the innocent ones r free from judgement and hell fire for they cannot make the choice themselves to follow God and yes God killed many through this but like i said there was so much evil the world needed cleansing becuz of our own selfish choices and acts, but God promised he would never destroy the world again with the flood

God would not create perfect beings or else he would create himself, and you cannot blame God for our own selfish choices, we made them not him, and he gave us free will so tht we would willingly choose to love him instead of bein like a bunch of robots forced to do wat he said, he loves us to much to force himself on us, and God only allows us to sin becuz of free will, so we are the ones abusing the gift of free will

It is testimony based on the experience of those who lived through it. It was not intended to be a substitute for scientific discovery, which incidentally should not be hindered by one's choice to believe in God. It is meant to inspire the faithful to a more positve and healthy spirit and ability to love and serve one another.

Besides,if you get hung up on whether or not you have "proof," you can't take the next step to explore the wisdom in the Bible to explore how it applies to your life personally, which has nothing to do with what happend at the beginning of time and can't be changed. I don't believe scientific observation debunks the existance of God at all.

Faith is very important, though. It can carry people through tough times. Looking at the past and trying to figure out if it is all true is not nearly as important as applying the lessons learned in your life here and now. I don't have to prove that Methuselah lived to be over 900 years old to believe in God any more than I have to believe that George Washington chopped down the cherry tree to believe George Washington existed. I have never understood the benefit of being an athiest.

@1969fordtruck Just to point you in the right direction research this for yourself, The year 321 AD Constantine the roman emporer declaired "Sunday" the sabbath and told everyone to worship on this day the day of the sun. It was purely a political decision on his part to stop his pagan empire falling. There is no biblical reference to sunday being the sabeth and according to the new testiment the sabbath is not even a day the sabbath is actualy christ himself.

I would never condone someone telling another that they cannot have a faith system, I can disagree with their beliefs but never try to force the issue. I rarely discuss religion with my family or friends, it fact many might not even know that I am an Atheist.

But there are massive amounts of evidence that The Holy Bible is inaccurate in just about every page. The Bible has been shown to contain some of the most evil acts committed by this so called loving god, therefore it cannot be the source of human morality. It seems more likely it would be used as a political control device.

Without questions there's no reason to seek answers and without the desire to seek answers there is no progress. Religion may very well be the downfall of humanity. That's true. Many churches ignore the Bible, ESPECIALLY Deuteronomy 21:18 where it says to stone your children to death when they disobey. Isn't it sad that people had a horrible experience in church because their particular churches ignored that? They really need to try another church!

Belief in karma wouldn't make anyone less of an atheist.

As a Christian, while I'm no fan of any blasphemy, I found at least part of this to be hilarious. Personnally, I gotta admit this is funny stuff cuz this is likely what it would be like if Atheism got into the Churchianity business(Praise Nothing=Typical Line of the Atheist Pastor), nonetheless, I do think some of you do need Christ and not just for fire-insurance or some BS buzz that you only get when the church band plays emotionally-manipulating music or something like that.

Not all atheists are logical, and karma isnt neccesarily illogical depending on what type of karma you mean.
Atheism is non-belief in a god, not in supernatural things.
Buddhists for example are all atheists as there is no god in buddhism.

Go ahead and follow the laws:
The bible says theres a penalty about planting different crops side by side. If someone curses thier father or mother they should be put to death. Actually even worse... any child who is stubborn or rebellious should be stoned to death. Anyone who curses god should be put to death by the community. If you find out a city worships a different god, destroy the city and kill all of it's people and all animals. Theres more stupid laws if you want that I can show.

actually tht is old testament so tht applies to the jews and not the christians and all those laws mainly were applied so the jews could create there country of isral, Jesus talks about in the Gospels what we as christians should live our lives by, so basically all of those laws apply to the jewish not the christian

and once again if u read the new testament Jesus brings up the ten commandments in the Gospels and He goes on to revaluate the commandments and other laws of the old testament, like eye for an eye changed to turn the other cheek

once again get your facts straight, the writer of hebrews tells us tht it is impossible for the blood of animals to cleanse us of our sins, only the holy blood of Christ can do tht, and in matthew he says tht we should still uphold the original laws(ten commandments) nver does he mention the wars, and no Jesus is talking about the traditions of the elders and how they need to change in mark.

My point about noahs ark is that jesus still believes in the stories in there even though they are clearly immoral. What about the unborn babies in the pregnant women? What about the children? God could never flood the world without killing innocents and jesus thinks it alright.

did u read the rest of tht passage? it goes on to say "how much more will the Blood of Christ, who through the holy spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works to serve the living God?" he is making a comparison to bring up a point. and in hebrews 10: 4. it tells us tht it is impossible for the blood of animals to cleanse us of our sins.

Those acts god allowed us to do. He created us with them because thats what follows from free will. God gave us free will and then he punished us for using it, gee thanks god.

Unless you pick and choose and say well those were so old i can ignore those rules or that those rules arent ment for you.
