C&D managed to clock 0 to 60 at 5.9 seconds with the manual so of course it will be a bit slower with the automatic. The thing is though manual is only as fast as the driver's skill, if I were to drive the manual one I'd do pretty bad.
Not really a review at all... they practically say 'V8! V8! V8!' the whole way through. V6's aren't what they used to be, especially with direct injection. Any person (especially this "reviewer") who, with current V6's the way they are, says "Anything less than a V8 means thumbs down", is simply trying to make up for a number of things they obviously lack in/on themselves. This isn't a supercar, but the V6 is still a very strong performer, especially for the price.

The new V6 mustang has i think around 306 hp, and i think the GT V8 has around 410, but still, a Nissan 370z, with only 0.1 litter difference than the V6 Camaro, has 332 hp!!
Just got rid of my 2010 Camaro. Only had 4100 miles on it. Had the same car as in this video. Sure was a nice looking car but had some mechanical problems. Bad thing is my dealer would not recognize the problem, and GM would not lift a finger to try to help. went through several months of back and forth with GM, and no luck. I traded it in on a Chrysler 300c. !0x the car the Camaro was. Funny thing... the Chrysler dealer found, and fixed the problem GM said I didn't have. ...WAY TO GO GM...

That car weights more than 4000 pounds with a full fuel tank and child behind the wheel, and I have no idea where that weight is. The whole engine weighs only 370 pounds, the trans is aluminum as well, and the body panels are so thin you can dent them considerably with a careless frisbee toss. Is the frame full of lead shot or something? Jesus, a car as small as that should only weigh 3000 pounds with 2 passengers in it, just buy a lightly used Corvette instead.
Why do they talk down about the car here? For the price I would definetly call it a performance or sports car. It has more hp, better brakes, nicer interior, better acceleration and better mileage than just about every sport compact for $25,000. For 25K you can also get a SS Cobalt that will handle better, but thats about it. The Camaro is faster and even gets better gas mileage.

The DI V6 Chevy Camaro has a very nice exhaust note. I don't think GM has much to worry about with the 5.0L Mustang on the way along with their new V6 engine that produces 305 HP. Pretty sure GM has a few updates for the Camaro in store.
Actually the new Chevy Camaro DI V6 exhaust system has a V8 like grunt to it when compared to the raspy sound the the Nissan 350Z. has. I actually like the DI V6 Camaro's exhaust note. It doesn't sound overwhelming.

Why do they talk down about the car here? For the price I would definetly call it a performance or sports car. It has more hp, better brakes, nicer interior, better acceleration and better mileage than just about every sport compact for $25,000. For 25K you can also get a SS Cobalt that will handle better, but thats about it. The Camaro is faster and even gets better gas mileage.

I love muscle cars but it`s a shame that a brand new 2009 3.5 liter V6 Chevy monster is slower to 60 mph than my `95 Calibra Turbo 4x4, with 2000 cm3 and 2 cylinders less.... even when it was stock with only 210 HP:
Maximal speed: 245 km/h
Acceleration to 60 mp/h: 6.2 sec

And what 3.5 liter are you talking about? It also isn't 6.7 seconds 0-60, more like 5.9-6.0. Also, it's the base model, not meant to be a muscle car. I hate it when people start copmparing it to imports and say things like "my jap/euro top of the line car is faster..." Really? Compare top of the line to top of the line. Opel is GM anyway so you're just saying "my other GM car was faster than this GM car."

@darklord9996 yeah but its 0-60 time is terrible. Did he say 6.7. Thats only .2 seconds faster than the 210 hp mustang v6. The mustang GT does 0-60 in around 5 seconds, I guess 11 hp means a lot.

As stated earlier it does it in about 5.9-6.0 in every writeup I've ever seen except this one. I have no idea how they came up with a figure of nearly a second slower.

Edmunds is clearly on Ford's payroll their reviews of the Mustang and Camaro are always off. I doubt it is a coincidence.
MotorTrend had the Camaro v6 running at 6 flat.

The DI V6 Chevy Camaro has a very nice exhaust note. I don't think GM has much to worry about with the 5.0L Mustang on the way along with their new V6 engine that produces 305 HP. Pretty sure GM has a few updates for the Camaro in store.

Actually the new Chevy Camaro DI V6 exhaust system has a V8 like grunt to it when compared to the raspy sound the the Nissan 350Z. has. I actually like the DI V6 Camaro's exhaust note. It doesn't sound overwhelming.

Not really a fair comparison. This is an auto camaro. A manual V6 does it in 5.9, which is a lot closer to the mustang. But yeah, torque does matter.
