  • looks easy enough i wil try this for the holidays ty for shareing :)

  • @cherpagirl - You are welcome. I hope you enjoy it and it is super easy!

  • You are so lovely, because you did it just perfectly, now I am going to this right now. Thanks for sharing.

  • @jockeyhanes - Thank you, so much! I hope you enjoy the cake.

  • Do you like that madagascar vanilla? I've never been happy with any of the different brands of vanilla and I don't like that one much, either. I think I'm going to try some mexican vanilla next. Or maybe I'm just too picky? Fabulous recipe, by the way. I will definitely make this one.

  • @tuffydoodle - I do like the Madagascar vanilla. I know there are all kinds of recipes on the internet for vanilla and maybe you could try to make some and it would appeal to you more. I have always wanted to try, but just never gotten around to doing it. I have heard that Mexican vanilla is very good.

  • @lynnsrecipes That's a great idea, I didn't know you could make it yourself. I always think they have too much of an alcohol flavor so I really do need to try to make my own version.

  • I have a ton of apples to use and this recipe looks yummy and simple...going to give it a try! Thanks!

  • @RandomHelena - You're welcome. I hope you enjoy it!

  • @stuang000 - You are welcome and thank you.

  • Is it okay to use half a cup of butter instead of canola oil?

  • @jusitke07 - I am sure any oil will be fine. Just melt the butter and let it cool a bit before adding it.

  • You did a good job! Thank you for share!!

  • @erica1680 - Thank you.

  • Thank you Lynn. This looks really easy and delicious! Do you serve this cake warm or cold?

  • @Earane100 - It is really good warm with vanilla ice cream, but it can be served cold too.

  • another lovely recipe could i use yoghurt instead of the canola oil ?

    thank you lynn

  • @sooouuuuper - I have never used yogurt in baking, but I looked it up for you and instead of the 1/2 cup of canola oil, I found that you could use 1/4 cup canola oil and 3 Tablespoons of plain yogurt. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for the comment.

  • @lynnsrecipes ty lynn that was very kind of you to look it up i love ur recipes ty and peace to u

  • @sooouuuuper - You are welcome. Enjoy!

  • Your apple cake looks terrific, Lynn! I plan to do some fried apple pies with Granny Smith apples next week--aren't they the best for cooking! Great job on the video; the cake looks yummy!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen - Thanks, Betty. Granny Smith's are great for baking. I love fried pies. Reminds me of when I was a child - my Mom made them a lot. Can't wait to see your recipe.

  • OHHH, It's almost 10 pm in Hungary, and I WILL MAKE THIS RIGHT NOW!!! Thanks LYNN, I love your show!

  • @Bindzso - Thank you so much. It is really quick and easy. Hope you enjoy it!

  • @Bindzso i was just wondering if u found polenta for the corn cakes ?

  • @sooouuuuper Yes! Thanks for the sooouuuuper idea :)! But I didn't like the flavour of the polenta so for the second time I used corn flour and it turned out perfectly! Thanks again! :)

  • @Bindzso cornflour like the white cornflour that sort of sqeaks when u put ur finger in it ? wasnt it a bit tasteless - oh k arent lynns recipes great i like them all

  • @sooouuuuper NO Not cornstarch, we have a great corn flour in Hungary it is almost like polenta, but it is white.

  • @Bindzso ty bindzso - its so funny how different countries call things by different names it can get very confusing - as i said if u used the what i call cornflour ( what u call corn starch ) it would be pretty revolting lol lol lol - my son used to love to eat cornstarch - eeeewwwww i dont know how he got it in his mouth and swallowed it - peace and love to u happy cooking

  • amazing recipes love every one u put up.

  • @donidon21 - Thank you so much!

  • Looks great... do you think it would be ok without the nuts?

  • @naulahsmommy - Absolutely. I have made it without nuts many times.

  • @smokes2468 - It is really good and so easy. Hope you enjoy it!
