  • look at the height of that guys shorts!

  • Thanks for sharing Ralph. I had some friends who travelled on it on Thursday. On the return leg, it was running over an hour late! But they just got their connecting train in time to ge back to Chester.

    Jeff

  • well done, did you get soaked like me. ive had to leave my boots out in the sun to dry out. stil got film to edit.

  • @puffernutterlou Thanks Lou, No rain at all here.

  • Cracking shot Ralph, she was certainly flying yesterday.

  • @acw71000 Thanks Austin, and on the return as well apart from being nearly 90 minutes late...

  • Superb shot Ralph, always great to see this fine machine at speed...Bob

  • @robmasterman Thanks Bob, the guy who you see just getting out of shot was new to steam on the main line and was asking if she would be travelling very fast, you should have seen the look of surprise when he was told probably around 75mph... Needless to say after she had passed he was suitably impressed..

  • Nice work Ralph. Sadly you can never rely on other photters getting out of the way -- they get carried away with the sight and sound of steam . Mike

  • @rab4472 Too true and exactly the same tonight, may upload tomorrow but cannot be bothered now as it's not much good.

  • @stephengthompson Thanks Steve, I was there 35 minutes early to get that spot, Yes he was one who remembered to move, unlike the other one...

  • Great Video, 5 Stars! Great to see 4468 back on the main line!

  • Nice bit of film Ralph.

Has Tornados chime whistle broken? That was the original one.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • @FernFilms Thanks, they have two whistles fitted, and seem to use either just to cause confusion..

  • Cracking shot. And for once a Pendolino didn't come zooming through in the other direction, which is what usually seems to happen at that station.

  • @AndreiTupolev Thanks Andrei, however had Tornado been on time there would have been said Pendo in the way. Just a pity the long approach view got blocked by that engineering unit on the middle loop....

  • nice video Ralph, thanks.

  • I'll bet those guys in the Hi-vis boiler suits don't wave at EVERY locomotive!

  • @ashbytimuk Actually they do, when a train approaches anyone working trackside, it has to whistle or hoot to warn of its approach, the waves are to indicate that you have heard the warning.

  • @ralph5407 Ah! Good point. I stand corrected.

  • Going well there Ralph ! I'm surprised there wasnt a box on the back. Thanks for sharing Brian
