  • It's been awhile since this Episode first aired....so....how's Lindy?

  • I’m sure glad they gave us all of the available facts and did not chose any of the characters specifically, but randomly picked participants that, with no editing involved, portrayed both sides without a predetermined bias.

  • Animals know things we don't- some scientists are watching chimps self-medicate and seeing if they know of treatments that could work on us. Every species is like a different culture, with its own way of living, and some of what they know is useful to us- but we'll never know that if we kill them all!

  • @webbess1 Oh man we need save every single fucking ant! Calm down... most animals are unimportant.

  • @soadpwnsyou Ants are vital to the ecosystem.

And stop being so self-centered. Not everything has to be important to you or even to the human race.

  • @webbess1

How do the ants help the environment progress? And yes, the human race is the most important out of any animal. We are the most evolved, we use the most logic, we are the ones that are in control. That doesn't mean everything else is unimportant. That just means, we should come first in certain things but not everything.

  • @soadpwnsyou Everything is connected in the ecosystem. We are most evolved? Ants are 15-25% of the worlds biomass. I'd say they're more successful than us by far, plus they've been around for 110-130 million years.

    physorg.com/news/2011-01-ants-ecosystem-role-key.html

    eko.uj.edu.pl/laskowski/ET_S800/Materialy/Ants_Folgarait_1998.pdf

The phrase "most evolved" makes no scientific sense, and is often used by people with no understanding of evolution.

  • @soadpwnsyou The rest of your argument sounds like something from an idiot creationist who believes in human dominionism. So the ability to use logical reasoning is the basis of whether life is important or not? So I guess all children and mentally handicapped people are unimportant.

Are we really in control? Natural disasters and diseases sure still devastate us (other animals at least know to flee earthquakes and tsunamis). Unless you believe those are all government conspiracies?

  • @webbess1

How did you go from saying not all ants are important... to government conspiracies, natural disasters, mentally handicapped people, and creationism?

You are a moron. All I said was not every single species of ants are important. Then I said humans are more important, you know why? Because we are at the top of the food chain and we are humans so we need to try to survive. I am not saying kill animals. I am saying humans are more important.

  • @soadpwnsyou So you didn't address any of my points. You just repeated your own circular assertion. I think we're done. :)

LOL mogem. I've watched enough of these now to see this show should not be called "Bullshit", but "What Penn Jillett Thinks about X Subject." He just picks the easiest targets and marshals facts to fit his preconceived POV. That isn't skepticism. If you want to see good skepticism, watch a show by James Randi, Derren Brown or Richard Dawkins.

  • @webbess1

I didn't repeat circular reasoning, I pointed out that you changed the subject from the ants to government conspiracies.

Ants are important, but not every single species of ants. If 1 species of ants disappeared nothing important would change. It might change a little bit, but nothing to where the ecosystem would fail.

The other animals would adapt to their new environment without those types of ants.

  • They are saying let animals die. I love animals, and have since I was a child. It is sad that people like P&T think of them as so expendable.

What about the things animals can teach us? There's the field of biomimetic-engineering, there are all the anti-venoms and chemicals that have come from animals. What if we lose a species that could have given us the solution to something huge? Oh like, idk...cerebral palsy like Lindy has!

  • @webbess1

So killing animals is wrong... but killing them and doing experiments on them is right? Good job and making no sense. They don't want to kill every animal, you are an idiot if you think that. Most of the Endangered Species Act is bullshit. Penn and Teller want us to develop more, not just kill animals. But sadly you are so dumb that you think they said that. By the way, most animals are pointless. They are dying off due to natural selection.

  • @soadpwnsyou The experiments I'm talking about don't require killing them, just catching them and studying them.

And they said they don't care if animals die, to me that amounts to saying "just kill them all."

They're pointless TO YOU, but not to me and the millions of people who love them. I'm glad that people fight to save them from attitudes like yours and P&T's. They aren't dying off due to natural selection, natural selection doesn't lead to extinction that is this rapid.

  • Well...at least the argument P&T is making isn't "fuck animals and kill them all", unlike some of the sick comments I'm seeing here. They're just saying the ESA isn't working.

  • oops i accidently killed all the birds of natural couses, can she build a house now.

  • In one way I believe the endangered species act is wrong, but in others I think it's right. I know environmentalists seem to be using it as a foil against corporations. But, corporations get around it, and it's the individual and small business that gets fucked. If it isn't right for person to build in an area it isn't right for anyone. No matter how much money they got.

  • Honestly...i have no sympathy for humans who are frustrated that they can't develop land and fuck it up and make it ugly like the rest of the fucking world. Might sound cold but...if I had to choose between a beautiful forest, wildlife, untouched wilderness, and some bible-thumper, wheelchair or not, crying that she can't live next to mommy, I'd say fuck the human. There are too many of us as is. I'm sick of this world getting uglier by the year. Fuck developing right up their fat asses.

  • @sonbuhitsunei That's funny from a guy living in a house with an internet connection.

  • @sonbuhitsunei The point of it was that it was ok for Wal-Mart to build and not for her. It's discrimination plain and simple. I like how P&T defends Walmart in one show and then shows them for the evil they are in another.

  • @sonbuhitsunei i bet you live in a house that fucks up the land around it, but you dont see it that way. It is sick that you would put a non feeling forest above the comfort of a human, do you know what, you better get your head out of your arse because saying things like that will come back and bite you

  • didnt that wastson guy get killed in south park? that was funny

  • I do enjoy Penn and Teller but they need to check the facts of the people they agree with as much as they check the people they don't. There are many inaccuracies on both sides, but Penn and Teller are only pointing out those of the people they don't agree with.

  • The fuck? When did a couple of birds become more important than a human being? Humans should mean more to humans than any other animal - especially if they're not even endangered. She's not even going to disturb them if they DID appear on her land.

    Fucking sick.

  • @Toadsanime Simple - there are 7 billion of us. Losing whole species is a fuck of a lot more important than some random fat redneck crying that she can't live next to her momma. I know you will hate me for this, think I'm a cold asshole, and maybe I am, but fuck humans. Fuck them. Our kind is a fucking virus, and frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing US become an endangered species. I value life as a whole on this planet more than just humans. we are expendable - life is not.

  • @sonbuhitsunei Intentionally endangering a whole species is wrong, living your life so that you don't inconvinence them is worse. We're humans and should live as humans - sure, we have more consciousness of the world around us than other animals so should look after them, but as humans humans should come first.

  • Honestly! What is with the videos suggested by Youtube that are on the right hand side of the screen? Why would YT suggest a video about "Why Girls Swallow" or "How To Get Head"? Can someone tell me? I find it obnoxious.

  • @eklera I was wondering if those were just random or if every one else got the same "suggestions". "Why Girls Swallow" Yeah I see it here too. Wish I didn't.

  • 6:35 its not a bluejay but its so adoreable with its big o belly! :DDDDD <33333 but i hope she got her house built and that adoreable bird is living happily in her backyard :D

  • Unless a species goes from very populous to endangered(whales, bison back in the day), the species extinction will not have much effect on the ecosystem. A species that is endangered does not have a significant population to affect the ecosystem if it were to remain or disappear. I doubt that if the five pygmy dwarf sparrows(made-up) were to go extinct that the ecosystem would collapse. Just a guess.

  • Highly disagree with P and T. When a species goes extinct it fucks up the chain of the ecosystem.

  • @celticsfanization But 3 species goes extinct every hour.

  • @celticsfanization not really no, that only happens if a cornerstone speciese goes exstinct, and there normaly the apex predator

  • That poor girl. I hope the fucking Florida Scrub Jay goes extinct soon.

  • @ggami7 i hope the girl gets her house too but the bird is so adoreablee!! :D

  • @TheMarchHare213 it's true, every time they pass a new law they make things worse. yes humans put pressure on animal but what are we supposed to do? stop being humans?

  • there's millions of scrub jays up here in canada what the fuck is it doing on the list? there's millions of them

  • @MrROTD they're talking about the Florida Scrub Jay which... you guessed it, only lives in Florida.

  • Throw the stinky butter!

  • red suited Teller ;D

  • suited tellers are so majestic, aren't they?

  • @freazeezy yes and they taste nice grilled with onions

  • i fucking hate environmentalists.

  • fucking hell.

  • 2:03 Somebody needs to fix his endangered teeth.

  • Appeal to emotion.

  • Endangered species are real and there are dieing out but programs are made where conservationists work to help endangered animals by increasing the breeding success rate. Building should not be stopped because there is an endangered animal. a few animals male and female should be moved into a natural conservation where they can breed in piece without the distruption of building sights

  • Notice how Penn says he rammed a Japanese boat to stop it from 'fishing', rather than say stop it whaling? It's called spin.

  • @hungryman211 The boat wasnt a whaling boat

  • sob stories make for a terrible argument

  • am I the only one curious why so many of the related videos on this are about girls giving head...I'm not complaining or anything just thought I'd bring it up.

  • damn you motherfucker she has enough fuckin problem as is.

  • Based upon what I have seen in this video, the ESA is a blight upon our country. It is a typical example of governmental power going to their heads.

The Lyndie and Wal-Mart example is a perfect example of this. I really hope she got to build her house.

We need jobs here a lot more than we need the spotted owl. Importing wood in this economy is beyond stupid.

  • @mike112769 Please don't forget this is a TV show, and not objective reality.

  • But, there's poaching (tge white rhinos are almost decimated), over fishing and pollution.

  • @Poodleinacan How many white rhinos have you seen in America?

  • @mike112769 I've seen thousands at the latest "Tea Party" rally.

  • @BlameRepublicans Lol That's a good one :) Thumbs up for that. The only comment that made my day today. Thanks.

  • ;-)

  • Paul Watson should be nominated for asshole of the decade, especially following his little "I've been shot" bit from his show. Trey Parker and Matt Stone did a magnificent job of lampooning (harpooning?) that clown.

  • I'd kill every single endangered species just for shits and giggles. And then I'd tell her she can't build her house

  • i'd love to fuck lindy, but dont like heavy lifting

  • Why cant she build a home and live with the jays in harmony>>?? not fair that walmart can be built which takes away so much more habitat than one lady's house with a nice backyard

  • this is oversimplifying the problems. Please dont hate the animals on the list, its not them causing the problem, they just want to exist like everyone else.. its the IDIOTS who make and enforce these flawed laws which are the problem... NOT the animals, so please dont get angry at the animals or use them as a reason for anger in your life.. anger is so bad and dangerous for people's health

  • this made me sad :(

  • "thrill it and marry it!" lol

  • I hate Scrub Jays they're all over the place here in utah and there's a group of them that live in the pine tree outside my house and spend their day on my patio tormenting my cat (she's an indoor cat and they've realized the magic of a glass window).

  • I WOULD PERSONALLY CURB-STOMP EVERY LAST ENDANGERED SPECIES FOR THAT WOMAN TO BUILD AND LIVE IN HER HOME.

  • I shouldn't have watched this. I hate the ESA.

  • Once an animal that can only be described as a pig lizard ruled the earth. It was the most succesfull creature ever and made up over 90% of the world's species at the time. Humans are nowhere near that succesfull yet the pig lizard (called a listrosaurus) shows us that no matter how un-varied life is it will keep on going just fine.

  • My job is being haulted over something called the California Condor. This bird can go fucking die in a fire. But because California is full of Liberal Cunts, the bird has priority over me. The farms and ranches of California are held hostage of the Delta Smelt. We pay extortionate rates for food compared to most of America because this 3" fish takes priority over the people of America. Where will the insanity stop? When will the Green Party supporters stop their highjacked priniples?

  • What's the song at the end at 8:15, during the recap, the same song that is played in parts of other episodes including the Bible when Penn talks about Elvis fried chicken? Please! I've been looking to get the song or the name or a source for over a year now!

  • nice red suit

  • I like the last part a lot. When one species goes extinct, another comes in and fills the niche left behind. Hence, taking the jacket and wearing it

  • people like "Buckymook" and "OLK4" really and sadly typify the utter disdain many environmentalists have for the rights and living standards of (other) human beings. You should really stop and think about what you are saying: that there is no reason to have compassion for a disabled woman, and a property owner in a supposedly free country, because her needs and plans may or may not go up against those of a small bird that can fly wherever it wants at will.

  • I have a question for environmentalists: why should I give a damn about species that will eventually go extinct in the future?

Why should I care if whole ecosystems are uprooted? Species have been coming and going for millions of years and humans aren't going to change that.

  • I wonder if the nice lady ever got to build her house.......I hope so.

  • @motoman1210 NO, SHE'S DEAD! She was very badly raped, you see.

  • @Zalman1337 a victim of the modern age =(

  • Damn, it sucks being fucked over, but being fucked over by something that makes 0 sense is heart wrenching. Makes me wish scrub jays would just fuck off and go extinct already.

  • MY grandpa shot a blue jay when i was younger lol.

  • as darwin said, and to go along with jotto999's comment, its survival of the fittest.

  • I'll personally offer to kill and bury every fucking scrub-jay on this woman's land. Fuck that bird and fuck the ESA.

  • "kill it! kill it! bury the little fucker!" XD

  • The scrub jay was actually the first animal I thought of when he started talking about not being able to build on your own land. It's something you have to look into when buying land here in Florida, but I don't think It should count if it's just one lot without any nests, and not a large development. One person can't afford that kind of loss.

  • I want to level that ladys plot, so she can live there....for fuck sake, shes in a WHEELCHAIR AND SHOWER WITH A HOES!!

  • @holtbym8 its horrible. what is she? a redneck?

  • asshole that guy is a class A PRICK

  • I hope she gets to build her house...

  • Oh shit, it's that asshole from Whale Wars! Somebody get me a harpoon; that fat, arrogant fuck needs to die.

  • I really do empathize with that poor woman. The degree to which her own government is fucking her over really is extraordinary. I hope she does get to build one day.

  • Aw, Teller looks so cute in Penn's jacket.

  • Capitalism. There is no fucking capitalism in this country and hasn't been for a long ass time.

  • I'm currently a 16 year old High School student. Last year, I signed up to take a Zoology course during my Sophomore year. (I had to choose Zoology due to the limited science courses at my school) Anyways, I was expecting to learn something about the anatomy and natural habitats of the many species of animals on this planet. What I actually did in that class was listen to my "teacher" explain about how great she is for being a vegetarian and listen to her be racist towards Asian people.

  • We can't stop eating fish!!! People would starve.

  • That's the whale wars asshole!! He's a fucking cock drinker..... modern day terrorist.

  • POOR LINDY

  • Lindy's story breaks my heart. :(

  • Japanese Whalers only kill about 0.5% of whales a year.

    They are awesome! :)

  • @debluemonkey fun fact, of the species of whale that are hunted by the Japanese whaling fleet only one species is endangered and in the past 5 years they have killed only a few in a season or none at all, of the other species they are allowed by international laws and agreements they have not filled their allowance in about 10-15 years. Sea Shepard on the other hoof has committed high seas piracy and terrorism and are accepting funds from the Discovery Communications company, which is american.

  • @Medovukha ha ha!

I feel I should specify, they are killing 0.5 or 0.05% (It may have been the latter, but I'm not 100% sure) of the whales they kill, not 0.5% of the world's whales :p

  • Paul Watson is a giant sack of shit.

  • This girl's problems seem to be on the state level, not the ESA.

  • solution: BB gun

  • I definitely think that Penn & Teller should become President and Vice President.

  • Paul Watson is a fat hippie piece of shit.

  • @ghostoferkrussell and a complete ASSHOLE !!! a a shame to any seaman!!

  • i am generaly emotionless and cold in turn, but after watchung the woman i felt a warm sense of compasion and anger :/

  • I went into this one thinking P&T weren't gonna convince me on this one... I was wrong

  • Lindy should "accidentally" let her land catch on fire, then the bird would no longer use her lot so she could build.

  • Set fire to her lot. Problem solved

  • That gray bird may have been a scrub jay. Assuming scrub jays are like most birds, only males are brightly colored, while females are gray. So it was probably just a female blue scrub jay.

  • oh, and surely the woman showering outside knows someone with a downstairs shower that she can stay with?

  • greed we ourselves go extinct - because we haven't got any trees left or we've caused the extinction of bees and other pollinators (I'm not making things up, do some research). The importance of such laws should not be overlooked. Oh, and here's a lesson to take from the video - do your research before buying land.

  • @buckymook you didnt get the point. That supposed "endangered" blue bird isnt even endangered, it was simply put on the list so that the federal government can more effectively control land. Thats the case with the majority of the "endangered" animals that are on that list. The U.S. government doesnt cut trees here in the U.S., but they sure as hell like to cut trees in the Amazon, where ACTUAL endangered species are threatened.

  • @LaSantaMuerte It isn't supposedly endangered. It is endangered. Why would the government want to control land that they themselves can't use eitehr because of the law? Govts are corrupt enough that they could see the benefit in lifting the law for their own use - building and commercialisation etc... but no, they've found the scrub jay in that area so the law is protecting that land. And Penn and Teller dug themselves a hole by saying things like' we can't find the bird anywhere' - thats

  • @buckymook (cont.) because it's endangered! der...

the Amazon issue is a whole new problem...

Americans (and the rest of the world) need to realise that they can't afford to take over the whole world. And surely there was another block of land nearby for that lady to buy - and yeah she should have researched before buying...

I have no sympathy for humans who whinge about not getting enough land when no-one else is standing up for the endangered (and non-endangered) animals

  • Just listen to you rant about commercialization and refering to people as "humans" as if you're above them. Enviromentalists are the scum of the Earth, their cause is really just a front for their anti-social hate of capitalism and others' well being. Why don't you go after that fatass who flys around in a gas guzzling plane and rams fishing vessels with his huge boat, or that snotty asswipe in DC who lives in a nice big energy consuming house? More of the same old "Do as I say not as I do."

  • @buckymook You (And the people supporting the ESA) need to realize that there is a thing called a food chain. We are on the top. Shut up.

  • @buckymook Also, why would they even let you buy land, if you cant build a damn thing on it in the first place. If that area is protected by "law", why did they even let her purchase it in the first place? It's like outlawing, say, guns but you can go ahead and purchase as many as you like?....??? Oh but Wal-Mart can go ahead and build whatever they fuck they want on any land they want, right?

  • @LaSantaMuerte - They let you purchase the land because of tax revenues. Then, they won't let you build. Once you have the land, you're required to disclose that the land is protected by Federal Law. You're then stuck with no usable land, and no usable cash. You have recourse against neither the former owner (unless the land was protected previous to your sale) nor the locality. It's a scam propagated by the state. Your analogy is wrong; it's like selling guns but banning firing chambers.

  • People rely the survival of species in both known and unknown ways. Birds like scrub jays help carry seeds of trees - the lungs of the planet. Biodiversity is so much more important than we realise and if species are going to go extinct it should never be attributable to humans, or else we are causing our own demise. Extinction should be a natural process - but the amount of damage and destruction we cause to the earth's species is disgusting. I hope Penn doesn't mind when through our own (TBC)

  • maybe that fucking idiot disabled woman should have investigated the land before she bought it, if she couldn't afford something like that to happen. she obviously just creamed herself when she discovered it was close to church and home. i don't feel sorry for her at all, nobody should, she's a moron and deserves to shower outside. idiots pay the consequences.

  • @OLK4 If any one's a fucking idiot it is you... you need to get laid so you can stop your fantasizing about a woman in wheelchair creaming herself.

  • Sorry P&T, but unless you have a better mechanism than "don't bother to legislate" the bullshit politics are the only method we have of protecting wildlife from short term economic interest. Of course there is a load of bullshit, but the libertarian "do nothing and be nice" plan just isn't viable

  • Human is the only race that matters, fuck everything else.

  • @Vanguard25895 ow, you are definitely an ignorant fuck, how can you come up with a complete tasteless ass comment and consider yourself as a more important living being than the rest of the species, the planet and the worlwide is fucked up as it is now because of people like you with close-minded stupid mentality. because at the end of all you, me or anyone else isnt mor important than arthropods, annelids, platyhelminthes or whatever. WE ARE JUST MATTER!. stop being so anthropocentric.

  • I want a pet red suited teller

  • Sea Shepherds are modern day hippies that smoke seaweeds. Ramming and sinking a ship could cause an oil spill. I hope the whales tell those morons "What the fuck man, you spared us from quick death just to make us suffer slow and painful death by poisoning!?"

  • I thought her home got destroyed by hurricanes?

  • @caytonxavier It did, and when she tried to build a new one, this bullshit act stopped her and left her homeless. Poor thing.

  • I usually don't cry, but I just felt so sorry for her I had to.

  • Lindy needs to contact the Institute for Justice. They love defending people with cases like this.

  • Just Wikipedia'd the Scrub Jay:

"Scrub-jays are frequently seen in the Los Angeles Basin.[5]"

    >frequently seen

    *facepalm*

  • @Jacquibim

    "Just Wikipedia'd the Scrub Jay:"

    >Wikipedia'd

    *facepalm*

  • A bunch of people should have gotten together and boycotted Walmart, demanding the girl get the same break they did.

  • @daven58100 I like the enthusiasm, but it's not Wal-Mart's fault. We need to get these bullshit laws out of our society. There's no reason to harm Wal-Mart's business.

  • That's bullshit. Why would it really hurt with one extra person building a home. She's crippled, so let her have her home!! My god!

  • Off the coast of California? I hope that Soviet ship wasn't within the 250 miles with our coast. That would be an act of war. This guy is full of shit.

  • And Wal-mart gets the place. And she fucking laughs about it. Why the fuck do we want Blue Jays? Blue Jays are the biggest assholes among birds. If you got a feeder I dont give a fuck if its against the law if you see a Blue jay shoot that piece of shit it will drive away all the other birds. But yeah Gov we need to consider their feelings

  • @UndeadClown95 it is no matter if you lije the bird or not, they dont have the fault and none the rest of the species, is a political and law problem, what? are you just going to kill every species on you road just because you don feel the are useful for humans or just because you dont like them?. sure you can do it but then you will be an unconscious idiot. that bird gets NOTHING to its credit for that girl being evicted from her house, besides you neither nobody has the right to decide wich

  • Oh my god...this anti-whaling guy should be fucking arrested. RAMMING other people's boats??? SERIOUSLY???!! Aside from being dangerous, those people have to have food to live! We're a species, too, ya know!!!

  • @MsMarywil

Yeah but we are not required to fish out the entire ocean. Its not a matter of us being denied as a specie, its a matter of us acting as if we are the only specie. If commercial fishing was strictly regulated humans wouldn't die.

  • @Eceoes It's 'species'....not 'specie' It's like sheep....the same singlar as plural.

Commercial fishing IS strictly regulated by many countries, however, you cannot make ALL countries with access to the ocean conform to the same standards because some of them are desperately attempting to feed people.

BTW, check out pt. 2 of this episode and pay attention to the FACT that there are more species on the planet today than ever before.

  • @MsMarywil

Actually it's backwards, he has never rammed any boat, he was rammed. look up the videos. and watch the show

  • There oughta be against killing people.....

  • @MsMarywil You gotta fight for what you believe in. Some people fight for their faith in god, some fight for the lives of creatures they love, some fight for the freedom to do whatever they want. And all of them were considered douchebags for doing so, at least by their opponents.

  • @MsMarywil The sad part is that if he does it in International Waters, there isn't a damn thing any government can do about it. Those areas are literally lawless.

  • @SolomonAros so i could try to go with him to do all that anti whaling shit and then just blow hes fucking brains out and noone could do shit about it? awesome, lets get going.

  • @jukkari13 That's brilliant. xD Why didn't I think about that?

  • @MsMarywil exactly! i couldn't have said it better myself!

  • @MsMarywil Not to mention that if he rams the other boats, causing damage to either boat making one or both to sink, the fuel that would leak out and debris from the boats would cause more damage to all of the other marine life in the area. What an idiot that guy is!

  • @MsMarywil Yeah, but the problem is that Japanese whalers are overfishing and hunt many species of whales protected by the International Whaling Committee, using the loophole of "scientific experimentation". And honestly, it's not even for the purpose of food surplus since whale meat has high mercury content.

  • @MsMarywil Im sure he does it in international waters. No laws there.

  • @coturnix19

    True, sadly...

  • @MsMarywil That reminded me so much about what Brian Leven(?) said in the P.E.T.A episode: "When you use violence and property destruction as a way to achieve your reforms, (like THIS Asshole) that´s called terrorism."(!!!)

  • The fact that this isn't the first mass extinction, but the sixth, and that 99% of all species that ever existed are extinct, should help straighten out someone's perspective. This is evolution. It's messy, it's pitiless, it's cyclical. Always has been, and a bunch of monkeys wearing clothes won't change that. Patrick Moore is right on.

  • @Jotto999 hear, hear! :)

  • @Jotto999 Very, very well said.

  • @Jotto999 Why put facts into the discussions? People who support endangered animal legislation do not like reality.

@MsMarywil Anti-whaling and people who think like them do not view humans as species or animals. To them, we are a plague on the Earth and I say to hell with them.

  • Oh hey. It's that guy on that one South Park ep.

  • wow, what correct information can do to someone.

my mind has tottaly been changed!

    kudos for bullshit

  • Let's not be so naive to think that if natural environments continue to be degraded that it won't result in a similar mass extinction. Also, mass extinctions tend not to go so well for the dominant animals of the era.

That being said, the ESA as it stands does not solve anything and I'm still in agreement with most of what P+T present here.

  • Speaking of bullshit, the argument that 99% of all species that have ever lived is somehow reason to discredit the current rate of extinction is a prime example. While the statement is true, it is in the context of a very large span of time. New species don't evolve in a few hundred years and just simply "replace" extinct ones. (continued)

  • Shouldn't that guy be in prison somewhere? i mean fuck he sunk all of those ships

  • I can't look at Paul Watson without thinking of the "Whale whores" episode from South Park.
