Honestly, they have a point. Not necessarily with just hmong women, but with women in general. Our entire lives are built around looking as perfect as possible. And though I don't feel it's wrong to do this if it makes you feel better or you just love wearing makeup, I still feel that sometimes it's okay to be honest and true to yourself. Phoua Xiong was very brave to take off all that makeup and show herself. Most of us wouldn't do that, myself included at times. And she was just as beautiful.
