do you have to mod the mag or can you jus buy regular non duckbilled mags and jus use them in the sks? i just bought a sks and i have watched every mod video u have made ur very helpful but i was wondering how much it cost to mod everything u have moded to the sks? n how much time did you put into the sks mods altogether?

@nashcountycountryboy you can buy duckbilled OR pre-modified (NON-Duckbilled) Tapco Mags at TrulyTactical - dot - com ... go there and add up the costs of the features you like... time is dependant on extent of mods being performed... 5 minutes to install a Gen3 MagAdapter.. 5 minutes to mod a mag... etc etc....

@cubanazo123 we ONLY recommend TAPCO 20 round Magazines... if you want to mod a 30 rounder try ProMags... but as you will see when you view "mag reviews" on YouTube... TAPCO is FAR FAR superior to ALL other SKS mags on the market... (by "clip" I assumed you meant to write "Magazine").

@MrRipper222 watch the whole series... we are called TrulyTactical... we'd NEVER recommend doing something that would disallow bolt-hold-open on empty mag.... your bolt-hold-open on empty mag will certainly work.... with duckbilled TAPCO mags and with modded NON-duckbilled TAPCO mags...

@Aswwsw I can swap out mags WAY WAY faster than someone with duckbills... AND since I have the bolt mods (can be seen on our other videos) I can load and/or unload REGARDLESS of the bolt's forward (in battery) or rearward (held back) position.... which means that I can do Tac Reloads too... not JUST Admin loads....

Does this allow the use of an AK Mag? NO.

There is not a "kit" for a SKS to convert it to use AK mags. This is due to the AK magazine being wider than the opening in the SKS receiver. The receiver requires milling to widen the magazine well, welding in a front magazine catch, and cutting the front of the trigger group off then welding a Ak mag catch on it. Also the bolt needs to be milled to narrow it so it will fit between the feed lips of the AK magazine.
