These are "garden" spiders. They're big, but they're literally harmless. They have to be threatened to bite, and are super shy. Even if they bite, it wouldn't even be poisonous. They look scary cuz of their color, but that's what they're kind of counting on~ to scare you... cuz they're terrified of us. Best not to kill them, cuz these spiders eat wasps and stuff. Which are far worse to deal with than this spider. Fuck wasps.
You ever notice these spiders always make a web going through a area where you walk. I had one that made a web going from my car door to the house, so every time I would walk to my car I would get caught in it lol
i killed one two it was on the side of my house as well by the bushes an i shot it with a bb gun in the ass an it still lived missing the big colorfull spot only the legs an head haha...
