i got realy pissed off when i figured out that this wasnt kingdom hearts 3 (when i saw the secret ending to 2) but i bought a psp just for crisis core and this game, and i realy hope its an awesome game and i hope it lasts for 20-30 hours of straight storyline gameplay unlike crisis core which is only about 12-15.

They only do it to fit the pieces in the storyline together and make the variety of playable possibility wider.

If they were to put everything after KH2 into one single game, it would become sloppy and they'd had to cut alot out of it.

No, Birth By Sleep is not Kingdom Hearts 3. BBS is a prequel, I believe it focuses on the First Keyblade Bearers. Knowing Square Enix, there probably will be a KH3, but - also knowing Square Enix - it'll probably take a few years.
