  • i`m a huge interpol fan since i`m 13 yeras old (i`m 20 now) and i`ve just discovered this masterpiece...i got the chills, my hands felt cold and i just closed my eyes and enjoy the trip, i just can`t believe i didn`t knew this before...its amazing..there are no words, neither in english or spanish, to describe this.....just...Interpol.

  • Are there any other Interpol songs with Daniel singing ?

  • @conradhunk PDA

  • I preffer this version over the Antics Special Edition :D because of Daniel singing.

  • oh sweet lord

  • favorite song for me

  • Wow this is so fucking amazing, I love Interpol and i always will!

  • you were like a flower yes you were a flower when you were alive now our love is sour DONT GIVE UP, DONT GIVE UP OHHH DONT GIVE UP!!!!

  • @dakenakihiro1 correction: '... when you were alive now our love is sour...' should be: '...then you were a lime, now our love is sour...' see the link between "sour" and "lime"?

    Grtz

  • Best Song Ever.

  • Daniels part just completes it, without it it's only alright

  • listen to the Black sessions version. 8x better

  • wish youtube had a repeat button...

  • @accioboooks You mean a auto-repeat button?

  • @B0neyKingofN0where Yes! :)

  • 2:07 - 2:37 lol best part of the song

  • Since we're all sharing how we busted our interpol cherry....the first song I heard was Evil and then I moved onto PDA and No I in Threesome. Interpol is such a great band.

  • @nownaked69 well I pretty much started the same way: Evil - PDA- Slow Hands. I have to catch up. I've heard Evil a long time before but was to lazy to follow through. Now I'm on an Interpol IV, after their gig at coachella i thought it was time to dive into them.

  • first started out from evil to pda, to c'mere, to slow hands, to heinrich manuever(sp), to time to be so small and narc, then to not even jail, to public pervert, then to everything else

  • Sorry for the one dislike, guys. I missed the play button.

They really need to move it further away from the play button

  • @PseudonymicBob aww...boo!!! haha just kidding man.

  • guys, where is justing bieber ?

  • @Thyazio in your pants

  • @Thyazio interpol is too good to have JB spam comments

  • @sobegod4444 yep i know, i mean beiber is as small as nothing compared to interpol

  • @Thyazio I can tell you're a genius just like me, forget bieber, go Interpol!

  • absolutely LOVE this song <3

  • the most beautiful song of all time

  • 02:00-02:37, Daniel's rapping is amazing. Love it!

  • Only GREAT !!!!!!!!

  • sounds a bit like untitled to me

  • @danielhehehehe I love untitled too bits but, when i listen to the entire album by the time I'm at NYC I wonder what happened to untitled,

  • daniel's rap is amazing

  • @waifism

Yes, it's great, but take a look at the same song at Spotify. No rap there. Not even Daniel's voice.

  • @Strangernextome its Daniels voice

  • Like a cup of coffee, a screwdriver and a blowtorch....what can'tthey do?? Freakin epic tales of what is to come.

  • This song is such a brilliant song!

  • i heard evil a longgggg time ago like when it first came out and the vid always scared me cuz of the puppet they use but now that im older i love interpol. i loved it since i heard it but the vid used to b creepy.

  • is that daniel singing for a bit?

  • @rednapkins yep

  • Beautiful!

  • sooooooooo depressingggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • you were like a cloud...yes you are a flower...then you were a lime...now our love is sour

  • while you think this guy can't sing NoobRealm, he probably has more hit records than you do. also, "grats" on being a WoW nerd. nerd.

  • @NoobRealm i dont think ive ever clicked on the thumbs down as much before

  • great b-side. check out my tunes

  • i want a precipitate EP album :-(

  • epic ,....their just amazing,...

  • @onixcloud *they are or they're

  • @onixcloud

    epic. They're just amazing...

  • @onixcloud **they're

  • @onixcloud *they're

  • you were like a flower

    yes you were a flower

    then you were a lime

    now our love is sour

  • interpols lead guitarist daniel kessler duhhh!!!

  • who is the singer at 2:07 to 2:39 ???

  • 2 guitars ça donne !!!

  • I like this version the best. Last time I checked, those basterds haven't made this very available for me to buy. The other version I already own.

  • oh yeah. I also say Chameleons...

  • iesus68.

You got it, Chameleons we're one of my favourite bands ever.

Somehow there's a warmth in this cold sound.

  • i had this song years ago and loved it, but lost the file. just received a MUCH better produced version of this... it's amazing.

  • pezzo musicalmente venato di quella malinconia che rende grandi gli Interpol. I adore them!

  • Damn, however I'm really not romantic person (my love is always sour ; p), I love Interpol's way of singing about feelings. Simple words connected in awesome lyrics. Cold music.

'When you lost the nurses, I found you a doctor in me, in me..'

  • waaaaauuuuw!

  • Comment removed

  • can someone please e-mail me the mp3 to this song?

  • Gah whatever. I just like everything by Interpol. When I fist started listening to them, Turn on the Bright lights album and Antics did it for me. Along with songs on the side like the Specialist and Songs Five ans Seven.

Havent checked out thier new stuff, and frankly dont want to. Maybe I will though.

  • you definitely should. our love to admire is quite brilliant throughout.

  • You should. They still have some great songs. Just that their latest album isn't as impressive. I'm looking forward to what they deliver next.

  • Don't, Our love to admire is nothing compared to anything they made before

  • I dunno, I like Daniel's spoken part or "rap" as some people call it.

And having a song with Carlos doing vocals is cool too.

    - I remember seeing or reading that Interpol are quite embarrassed about the Precipitate EP's. However I like all the tracks on it.

  • I agree, it's pretty great.

  • @SJHDD really? They should be way more embarrassed about their last two albums, which were really really bad with the exception of The Heinrich Maneuever.

  • @danielhehehehe

I can understand the shame they may feel for the Precipiate EP. Even though I love all 4 songs to bits, it seems like a step back from the previously released FUKD I.D EP.

So you're saying 'OLTA' and the self titled 4th album are embarressments? I cannot agree with you at all. Like Paul said, you have to listen to OLTA at least 10 times entirely before you understand where the band were coming from. I did, and now i really like the record (apart from All fired up).

  • @danielhehehehe wow I actually find Our Love To Admire to be their best album. but to each their own :)

  • para bailar en la oscuridad...

  • "giggidy"

     quagmire-Family Guy

  • this is really a good song

  • very nice song realy nice and me a like number seven

  • did youtube mute this too? ahhh

  • ahhhh, such a beautiful song

wish carlos and Daniel did more vocal parts....

  • That's just stuff that I remember hearing in some of their interviews. Not sure if that's 100% correct.

Oh, and (by the time they're* done) in my last post.

  • Einfach nur Hammer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Interpol....amazing amazing band! Turn on the bright lights is one of my favourite albums of all time. Love them, can do no wrong in my eyes!

  • lolz It is the best album they have .I have all their CDs and people and i igree it is

  • What does this song mean?

I tried to put it together and I couldn't figure it out. It's soooosoooo gewd!

    :D

  • Its one of the less cryptic Interpol songs,

pretty much about relationships, first it was beautiful then it changed and turned "sour"

    "you were like a cloud

    yes you were a flower

    then you were a lime

now our love is sour "

    =]

  • I was actually surprised when I heard it. I mean, how straightforward it was.

  • all their songs are about relationships and most of them are about sex

  • Roland is about a serial killer, Obstacle 1 is about a death, and The Heinrich Manuever is about a celebrity, just off the top of my head

  • I also heard that Obstacle 1 is about the band watching a news report about a model committing suicide and PDA is about rape

  • Wikipedia is a beast, huh? lol

  • Haha that must be were i heard it!

have you listened to skyscraper yet??

  • Yeah.I like Girl On The Sporting News and Fly As You Might, those songs are coool

  • That was a quick reply! Unwind and Games for days are my favorite.

I think Antics is my fav album though, but i still adore T.O.T.B.L and O.L.T.A!

  • I don't think I would be alive if it weren't for SWADASWAD and Leif Erikson, those are my 2 favorites off TOTBL with Obstacle 2, Say Hello to the Angels, and The New. Unwind is really good toooo

  • I love those songs aswell. The lighthouse is one of my favs

  • The Lighthouse is INSANE how calm it is

  • Wreacking ball is another great song, infact any song interpol have is great!

    The specialist = WOW

  • The Specialists guitar solo is AMAZING. Cutthroat/Cut The Rope is also really good, been playing it all day. I like Daniel's rap in Song Seven tooo alot, really fun to hum lol

  • Haha yeah.

Ive heard rumors of a new album in december, have you heard anything??

  • A new album? That's cool, but I havnt heard anything about it. But its probably gonna be awesome

  • They've already claimed to have recorded 4 songs. A release in December, probably not. Maybe March.

  • They're working on it now.

  • It is magnificent, inspires me as a donkey in spring

  • I started listening to Interpol because of Evil and I'm glad I did. They are awesome. Much needed change from my screamo.

  • first song i heard was evil as well. Started slowly listening to other songs, and they are now my fav band. Best out there imo

  • @DestroNack I lovvvveeeeeeee how people gradually start listening to this band (: They're amazing :D

  • @DestroNack

Sounds so much like what I went through the past year with these guys! They are indeed the best out there!

  • @DestroNack same here, their a great band to listen to.

  • @DestroNack My story is just like yours

  • @DestroNack That's what happened to me too :D A friend posted some video of Carlos' top 5 qoutes hahah then I heard evil. Love at first listen.

  • @DestroNack That's cool. The first song I heard by them was PDA. That was 8 yrs ago if I remember correctly.

  • @Onyxaxe wow , my first song was slow hands and then C mere :D , I found them in a TRUE CRIME videogame hehe , man i loved my childhood cuz videogames introduced me a lot of great bands ( including this one ) :D INTERPOL ! x3

  • @KxK96 I can relate to that lol. Games are a lifechanger.

  • @Onyxaxe yep :) lol

  • @KxK96 haha me too, true crime nyc, interpol slow hands was the song =)

  • @Ak47x360 yeah man !!! :D such a great song and a great game lol

  • This song is amazing. I love Interpol so fucking much.

  • Is Banks even capable of writing a song that is less than gorgeous? I think not.

  • I think Carlos writes most of the songs...?

  • Where did you hear that from?

    lol, that's false!

This song is the greatest thing i've ever heard. I love me some Interpol

    :0

  • I can't remember where but somebody told me that one time...guess not. ha

    Interpol is absolutely breathtaking nevertheless.

  • I remember hearing somewhere that Daniel comes up with the chord progressions or the basic idea of the song, but then everyone writes and fixes their part, so by the time there done the only thing that still sounds like Daniel's original idea is the backbone of the song, the chord progression.

They also often exchange parts, like Paul and Daniel might have written each other's parts. The only part that is exclusively written individually are the vocals, which are all Paul's responsibility.

  • Really? That's incredible. Now thinking back, I could definately see them writing their own parts, after hearing interviews and learning about them. Thanks for that.

  • I agree with ruheir... I always cry on this one...

  • nice to hear an early version of this song

  • what an inspiration

  • this song!!!

    rockea estupidamente!!!

  • i'm speechless. this song has touched my soul.

  • There is not enough words to describe this song, it is more unique then anything I have ever heard.

    I LOVE INTERPOL!

  • i love this song

  • the love the hate the things that separate

  • this song is one of the best songs ever made. it's haunting. it's beautiful. close your eyes, and you can actually cry. this song is magical
