So that how they had it during that time? Atleast they made cartoons instead of giving up becuse of the budget limit. I really wanna know how much work there is in a proper cartoon on 10 minutes. Hand drawn.
Also my favorite film is the Phantom Tollbooth and the first and only time I watched it was on Banana Splits show on CN back in mid 90s and at time I tought it was related to The New Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Liveaction-animation TV show wich I came to know from an 80s VHS release of the whole series as a movie simply titled ''Tom Sawyer and HBFinn'' but TNAofHBF didn't have anything to do with as far as I know the 90s CN rerun of the Banana Splits Show. Interesting how things relate.
I learned english by watching The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm show segments of wich if I recall well they took a letter of the dictionary and made tons of words out of it with images. I remember once they piecked up F and used Fred as an example of the words Father, Fat, ect. That segment was later translated to spanish and I learned english with it.
Dear Electric Dragon, The second and last host/performer of the 1962/1964 version of"The Ruff & Reddy Show"was "Capt.Bob"Cottle.his live action segments proved to be much more popular than the films. So the show only screened two "R&R"films and not three.
Maybe time on Animation Lookback you can do a Famous UK animation studio named "Cosgrove-Hall" was founded by Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall who'd had previously worked at Stop Frame animation studios. That made Danger Mouse, Count Duckula, The Wind in the Willows, Chorlton and the Wheelies, Jamie and the Magic Torch, Noddy's Toyland Adventures, Victor and Hugo, Cockleshell Bay and Avenger Penguins etc. all the best Sam Briggs.
Maybe time on Animation Lookback you can do Warner Bros. Animation that made Looney Tunes, Merrie Melodies etc. but there knownas a lot of different studio names e.g. Harman-Ising Productions (1930-1933), Leon Schlesinger Productions (1933-1944), Warner Bros. Cartoons (1944-1964), DePatie-Freleng Enterprises (1964-1967), Warner Bros.-Seven Arts Cartoons (1967-1969) and Warner Bros. Animation (1980-) and character like: Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Bosko, Buddy etc. all the best Sam Briggs.
when you said the shows were cancelled, a bunch of hanna-barbera cartoons like tom & Jerry, the Flinstones, The Jetsons, and more are on a channel called boomerang (Which is owned by cartoon network)
I'll admit these guys had an equal amount of good and bad ideas, but they certainley are the Kings of Saturday morning television :) Great job Mat, I actually learned a few things I didn't know before.
My parents love most of the Hanna-Barbera cartoons, so it's always really nice to sit down and watch some with them.
Wait Cindy wasn't in the Yogi Bear film

What about Mickey and Big Bad Pete? Unless you don't know what Pete is.

@SmashBroGameAndWatch He's a dog, I believe. He's in "Goof Troop" and "A Goofy Movie" where just about EVERYONE is a dog of some kind.
Milkman26789Z 3 months ago
@Milkman26789Z Pete is supposed to be a cat, if you check in the old cartoons, he was a cat, and he is classified as a cat
