Funimation exists in order to bring over these type of shows and movies that we wouldn't see from other countries (mostly Japan, I'm guessing) unless we actually lived there, just because you don't want to watch it, doesn't mean it doesn't interest someone else. As for the movie itself, it's wacky, and I'm guessing it's like an equivalent of Grindhouse, meant to mock itself in a way, while providing both action and humor. Some people won't get it...
