Dude, 28 Days Later? Forget that, Danny Boyle's undisputed masterpiece is definitely Trainspotting, only the best film to EVER come out of the UK for me and probably my favorite film of the nineties, or at least way up there with Se7en. Boyle really is a masterful director and I'm so glad he finally got the recognition he deserved. I'd be happy with Milk or Benjamin Button winning the Oscars too, as they were all fantastic movies. I can't remember it ever being so close before.

Once again you've mentioned too much in a review...people might watch this BEFORE seeing the movie. You basically just outlined the whole entire story, including many things that you arent supposed to know until you're watching the movie. You're ruining it for people...you should mark the title "May Contain Spoilers". You did the same thing on "The Strangers" review. I'm afraid to watch your stuff if I havent seen the movie because you don't even seem to realize that you say way too much!

You talked about Latika getting lost, the guy that takes kids, Salim's work at the end of the movie, Jamal doing everything to find her because he loves her (you dont know any of this until the movie is playing). You may as well have just said the ending. I'd go on but I've reached the comment limit!

I enjoyed this movie but to call it the Best Picture is just wrong. The basis of the movie (seeing a question then seeing how he knew the answer) falls apart after the third question and it turns into a love story. WALL-E, Doubt, Ben Button, Milk, The Wrestler, In Bruges and Gran Torino were all better.

This movie deserved it... Dark Knight was a better comic book film but still had a clitche story and is overrated.

Now Slumdog was original in it's story and had an advantage in art direction, writing, acting (whole cast), and cinematography. This is a solid film that deserved it's awards.

I do think Frost Nixon deserved a couple wins such as best actor and screenplay though.

dark knight was a story adapted (somewhat ) from the comic, but still awesome. slumdog is a movie based of a book,NOT an original story.

Still think one way or another that The Dark Knight should've at least been nominated for best picture, I can't say whether it should've won it or not cus I haven't seen Slumdog yet.
