Actually, the first time I heard this song was from this video, and I thought that you did really good. And even after watching the other versions of it, in my opinion, your version of it sounds better to me than the other versions which people insist "souls" are in.

I hear ya. I would've done runs and soul and belt (I CAN do all that, actually! haha) but I didn't realize it was supposed to be like that (didn't do my research) and also the musical director taught me the music like this and said to do it that way, the way it was on paper.

I should've just gone for it! I would definitely do it my way now, 6 years later.

bittersweet, i'd say. just like in The Wizard of Oz... everyone is kinda sad to say bye to their friends, but that becomes secondary to wanting to get home to her family... that's what the whole play is about: finding your way home and being with the people who love you! so it's happy

you do have a good voice. I would sing it less on beat. Cause that's what makes it boring and sound like you are singing in a chorus. listen to the broadway soundtrack and just let yourself go and be more free. other than that good job.
