This is the first I've heard of Terry Fator (thanks, brofranomo--who also "introduced" me to Jeff Dunham). I agree that comparing these two very gifted performers is like comparing apples to oranges. Saw Dunham live here in Hollywood, FL three nights ago and he was hilarious, as usual. What stands out about Fator, however, is that he seems to show no facial movement whatsoever when his puppets "speak," he has an amazing ability to impersonate--and that dude can really SING!

Dunham can't be better. The reason is he doesn't have the same vocal range as Terry. Fator is better at singing. Listen to Jeff sing Jingle Bombs, Redneck X-mas, etc. They just are not in the same league.

Jeff may be funnier of course, but talent wise what Terry does is UN-PRECEDENTED.

Whoever says Jeff Dunham is "better" obviously doesn't know anything about ventriloquism. Dunham is TERRIBLE when it comes to transitions - Fator is perfect in comparison.

Dunham's puppets, however, are MAGNIFICENT pieces of artwork. If only Fator's puppets were as well made and full of emotions - and if he'd be able to control the extra features and not just head movement and lip sync.

Dunham's material IS better, though - let's be honest. Fator doesn't have enough good jokes :<

I don't mind a "tad" of off language, either- if I'm in a bar or an adult place, but NOT on the telethon for kids! I have watched the telethon all my many years (and been on it, too) and have NEVER seen any hint of bad language... this year, I was shocked.. it was totally uncalled for- and it WASN'T funny. Any performer in their right mind knows to leave out inappropriate words when doing a family show. producers would serve the country well by considering a Terry Fator Show for the world.

It's about Time! I looked and looked every day hoping someone had it! Too bad the producers had the unfortunate presence of mind to put Terry Fator on in the wee hours of the morning when all the kids would be asleep and had then had another ventriloquist on in the a.m. using BAD LANGUAGE in front of the kids. We need a Terry Fator Show for America and our kids... are you listening all you TV producers out there??????

I totally agree. I'll bet they did it becasue he's not as big a name as say Ronn Lucas, which is unfortunate. I almost wish they did a marathon ventriloquist session on the show. That would have been AWESOME! Ronn, Terry, Jay Johnson, Aaron Williams and Freddie, Willie Tyler and Lester. SO many great ones out there.
