I knew a fellow who had an old Ford Falcon that stopped oiling the rockers. He left the bolts out that held on the valve cover so he could dribble some lube on it now and then when it started to squeek. I bet auto lubers or a central located device was produced to take the drudgery out of having to oil them .Damn you'd have thought they woulda thunk up vavle covers. Musta made for a heck of a mess under the hood.
