That was definitely a Basking Shark and if I were you I would probably go out with a different captain next time..like one that knows his fish perhaps...

Don't know why this was suggested & really don't know why I watched it, but have to comment. That wasn't a whale shark, they don't go that far north, are much larger & have a different body shape. It was maybe a basking shark, but couldn't tell from the video.
