the pops from webcam mic clipping or the vinyl source of samples?
i am looking atmpd32 and the Korg PadKontrol... anyone have recommendations either way? Korg better feal to pads, more responsive, and the X-Y pad, Akai much more features..
ive watched this 100 times and i still say this is the hottest live playing ive seen on the mpd32 he inspires me. check out 1 chi-town remix not live but its whats up!!!!
ya real talk, whats with all the hate? I still love watching this video because this is the best Drumming i've ever seen on youtube plus it's a live recording. No Quantizing.
Propz to Anyone who puts their videos on youtube because they're are brave to face all the stupid hate, all you haters are useless cowards with your dumb ass comments. real talk.
Quit hatin, what do you think MPCs are mostly used for? Drum and Bass, Hip Hop and Techno. Why else would there be 16 pads, oh yea, so hip hop heads can use 3 or 4 pads for a loop, come on. Half of the people on here who make beats couldn't even keep a rhythm like this live for longer than 8 bars.
good point. They all use the same shit and repeat it for 3 minutes and put a basic drum beat thats getting streamed so much it sounds worse every time
hey oorstudio, nice vid...i have that keyboard ( Yamaha PSR-313 ) and i was wonder how u connect it your computer and use it FL? i had an M-Audio midi to usb interface and it didnt work..do u have the Yamaha UX-16 usb interface?
Well done, I have a pk and really want all the faders that the mpd32 has, but haven't really been able to pick up the percusion on the pk, you've done well with it.
You only need a power adapter if you are planning on using it as an external module which is using a 5pin midi cord and connecting it to another instrument (which connects to the cpu's usb) That way you can use 2 midi devices at the same time like him in the video. But otherwise, if you just have the mpd32, the usb will get energy from the computer and power it itself.
thanks for kicking out the jams. I just recently bought the MPD 32. So im into getting it to work with my software right now and learning to drum on mpd. I was wondering, since you have used an mpc also... do you experience any latency when using mpd in comparission to mpc?
Yes. However, if you have a good sound card with ASIO drivers, and are able to keep the latency at 5 milliseconds or lower, it shouldn't be a problem. A fast CPU also helps if you are using a lot of FX.
Recording of midi events is handled by FL. I am using Pattern Mode, with Loop Record/Overdub enabled. A foot pedal controls record on/off. Each slider is linked to a different channels volume. There is an application in FL called FPC and it works just like an MPC.
hey man im planning to buy the mpc 1000 or the mpd32 now that i move smooth throw reason4 and recycke and i have a keyboard too im thinking in purchasing the mpd i thinks its easier to chop assing drums etc etc etc with the computer and not with the stand alone mpc. ive seen that you have both, what so you think????
@oorstudio so you mean there are certain things you wouldn't be able to do with the mpc connected with your daw? trying to figure that out. i was thinking why by a mpd if a mpc1000 was the alternative.
Man im really thinking about selling all of this hardware and getting into software , I find myself using reasons and sampletank alot . The game is changing and software is getting so much better.
tasteful!

Are you using the MIDI out of the MPD32? And if so, did you have to buy a power adapter separately?
allstarbdt7 3 years ago
yes you do if your using a midi
melgfx 3 years ago

how do you achieve the layered recording of the midi-events? is that managed by the MPD or by FL?
and how did you set up FL? was it easy to "emulate" the MPC features?
cukabeka 3 years ago
Recording of midi events is handled by FL. I am using Pattern Mode, with Loop Record/Overdub enabled. A foot pedal controls record on/off. Each slider is linked to a different channels volume. There is an application in FL called FPC and it works just like an MPC.

To assign functions to buttons like undo/redo, and record for a footpedal. Also, the transport buttons to switch instruments in FL.
