In high school I watched an assembly where a guy had a fire fighting robot that also blew the fire out w/ a fan. But the sensor was the best part. It would go over and pick -up its sensor(seperate unit) and it would hold it over the candle for 10 seconds. You could see the thing boiling and smoking!!! Only then would it decide; "Yep, there's a fire." It would put the smoldering sensor down, put out the fire, and then go back pick-up sensor and confirm that in deed the fire was out! LOL!
