Thanx for posting this and thanx and special sohout outs to Mike Allen for this one!!! I could listen to his show frow France on AM when I was like 12.The sound was horrible because the reception was real bad but i was so crazy about hip hop that i was recording the program each time i could! I still have those tapes and wish i could have this original 12"inch at home!!!
I remember listening to this on the Capital Rap Show back in 1985, then hosted by Mike Allen (before Tim Westwood took over), have a tape I did of that show, had tunes like Johhny The Fox, Double D & Steinski's Lesson 3, Needle To the Groove etc. I still get a musical boner listening to it now.
@TroyConvers5000 I remember those shows. There was this one track he'd play that went 'the roach, the roach, the roach is on the wall. Fall silly sucker, fall...' Have no idea to this day what that track was. Good times...
@TroyConvers5000 good call,i did the same ,pause button at the ready for the latest tunes .still got tapes somewhere complete with damned interference! powernite fm on radio london with dave pearce and roger johnson's legendary scratch attacks was also pretty good.all pioneers
I played this to death back in the day. World class wreckin crew were loud and amazing. We call him Yella, he is the best, he rocks the house on the DMX. :)
when i was 11 or 12 used to stay up press record an tape mike allen 95.8fm. edit tape nex day, still got tapes today, great memories an can,t beleive some of the tunes are this easy to listen to now.
I recorded this off Mike Allen too, always liked this track, something about it that was quite catchy, especially the scratches. Hiphop had a certain mystique to it back then, kind of magical which has been lost nowadays. Those were the days.
I just sold my original vinyl for $68 on Discogs. Someone in Australia will be happy to know they own the only copy on that side of the planet. A classic joint from my future partners, Tommy Musto & Lenny Dee.
Just listened to this from my old vinyls. This is how hip-hop should be done, forget your Jay Z@s and other such plebs.Tracks don't get more raw than this.Used to blast my mums ears through my hi-fi back in the day.
@bertbox69 I met the World Class Wreckin Cru when they came over for UK Fresh - we met most of the hip hop legends that night...still rates as one of my best nights of my life. it virtually blew my head off my shoulders it was so surreal. other artists that night included: Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5, Steady B, Sir Mix A Lot, DJ Cheese & The Word of Mouth MCs, Aleem, Dr Jeckyll & Mr Hyde. Their autographs are like gold to me! :)
excellent....i have a huge breakdance/electro collection i'll have to upload some...mind you i havn't uploaded anywhere near what i have in acidhouse 1988-90
They must have one the lottery and bought some decks lol. The battle scratch between Authur & black Knight, totally awesome!!!! Electro 10 such a belter

look how long the tracks are, every thing "rap" or "hip hop" now is significantly shorter. I think the song "Rockin It" is 8 minutes.

Search for World Class Crew, Electro 9 Electro 10, use Discogs.
Beat Street, Break Machine - Break Dance -same time.
I agree they dont make them like they used to, but maybe its just us getting older!
Sounds like porn music now, maybe that just me lol.
