Hi MONKHOUSE, Phil was using a mini 6 cell Nihm pack, as used in 1/18th scale cars. I would recommend a small 2cell lipo though. Phil mounted the battery on the top two front links. The Hot Bodies Rovers are one of the best upgrades you can do also. Hope this helps.
Hey man, love the scout, ive got one too and ive been checking out your mods and been doing the same to my scout, ive added fuel line to the shocks and got rid of the battery tray too but now i have no idea what battery to get for it as the nimh sticks packs i have are far too big to stick on the front of the truck! What battery are u using and how did u mount it on the truck? really appreciate it if u cud help!, cool vid btw, ta!
