Also, I Was a little disappointed at the length of this battle, even on Brutal.

But my disappointment went away when I saw the song in the Mouth of Metal :D

The Metal Queen is possibly one of the best of the few proper boss battles in Brutal Legend. It takes serious nerves and reflexes to take her down on BRUTAL difficulty. Not even Doviculous himself stacks up to this mechanical menace.

BTW, this song is absolutly perfect for her.

@1Synner I agree that Doviculous was easier than Queen of Metal, but I honestly found the fight easier if you play by the music, and not the visuals.

@SapunMan I do that too, but, she can still fuck eddie up if he gets in too close just a little too long (or is picked apart by those tiny mechanical spiders that require a couple earthshakers to take out)

@1Synner Well, guess it's just me, but I stay away from her as much as possible, and when the tiny spiders come, I go in the center, and one Earthshaker is enough to take the out. As for the medium spiders, shock one to death, and just guard and hit between their attacks.

@1Synner I vote +1 on that jump or fly thing. As for the strategy part...I never really liked RTS games to be honest, so those parts of the game...I was glad to get rid of them.

@SapunMan The problem with the RTS was that it was both too simple, and also rather repetitive making it "call all your troops and bulldoze the enemy". The thing i liked about the RTS in that game, however, was that once a fight started between your army and the opponent's army, you could always jump into the fray and lay the personal smackdown on them, instead of hiding behind the army controls way up in the sky.

@1Synner And that's what I hated. The fact that the enemy *avatar* kept coming down to me, killed me and then left. But never stood till the last moment when I was winning...

@SapunMan That's the entire point. Just consider it an ongoing boss battle. If the enemy avatar leaps into the fray to take you and your troops out, engage him. If he takes off, electroshock him as much as you can. If you're lucky, you'll kill him before he/she buggers off. As for him killing you, hit the fly button just before you turn red, and get the fuck out of dodge. If you give it about 3 or 5 seconds, you'll heal up enough to fight a little more.

@SapunMan yeah... i actually had to practice the "fly the fuck out of a fray" technique while being occupied by the battle at hand, so it took me until my second battle with Ophilia to get it right.
