I would also like to add the fact that makeup is also used in an indecent way nowadays. Tho many people may disagree, i believe makeup should only be used if there is a need to cover some injury, like a scar. By using makeup to enhance their looks, women only ruin the natural beauty that God gave them, and also poison their bodies with chemicals that some times even cause skin cancers. Thousands of animals are killed for the testing of cosmetic products. It's wrong, harmful and indecent.

A couple years ago, my older sister and I watched an episode of Jenny Jones, where they have girls that are in elementary school (between ages 7-11) that dressed like a miniature version of Britney Spears instead of their own ages. My sister told me that she hoped she would never catch her daughters (they were around that age when we saw it) dressing like that and thankfully, they have not. Also, I was at Kmart recently and saw this one top that is not appropriate for winter on sale there.

I am so glad about this video. This is compliant to my own point of view. Much more believers should watch that!!!I went to so many churches and there was only one single Pastor in Cuba who declared it while a sermon that in his church he doesn´t want to see women in miniskirt and spaghetti straps at the service. And this although he became less strict. In former times he didnt allow earrings and women had to wear long sleeves. He was the only bold man I ever saw.

the words obedience is not legalism is a sword of truth. obedience to God is not being religious neither, but we must remember that the bible does talk about pure religion (in james). part of pure religion is keeping oneself unspotted from the world. even proverbs talks about the attire of a harlot. it does matter what we wear. our bodies are meant for God's glory not the lust of the eye or flesh and the pride of life. the elect must wake up and stop listening to the whores lies.

this is just what my friends preach to other people to dress modest and i do i dont like all that short tight stuff but when it comes to my friends they are wearing mini skirts, really short shorts, tight and low cut shirts showing off there undergarments and they are wearing bikinis that are way to small for them. Everytime i try to tell them about the way they dress they have no communication with me even after i apologize, and one of their dad is a youth pastor!!!!!!

preety much been made extinct by feminism and Christian women have gone right along with it too often, trying to reconcile feminism with Christian faith. IMPOSSIBLE! Feminism is not all that is woman, as they would like to believe. While some womens rights victories have helped women, for the most part they have reduced us to sex objects and called it liberation. I went to WalMart about 3 weeks ago and looked all over for long skirts. I found none. Finally I asked 2 ladies in the dress department and they both said, to their chagrin, that they had no long skirts and that they were even surprised that they couldn't find any. Every shirt I find is extremely low and even longish skirts are just too tight. Unfrotunately, too many Christians just buy these clothes because they are on the rack, choosing to be conformed to the fashions of the world.

Thanks. There are a lot of great modest clothing patterns. I just baught a lovely pioneer dress pattern not too long ago. Unfortunately, I haven't had anytime to do any sewing. I think if enough Christians STOPPED buying from the stores and made their own clothes, it would really make a dent in the fashion world and maybe they would make more modest clothing but I'd still rather make my own than give them my cash. Here are a few choices (because I had to become creative too). #1. Learn to sew #2. Look for a seamstress in your church or community #3. Search on-line for dress stores (Dress Barn, etc) in your area #4. Shop at thrift stores such as Goodwill. #5 wear tank tops or female undershirts under tops that are too low cut for your liking. God will always help us find alternate ways to keep seperate from carnality.

Christian women, it's my appeal to you! You must bear in mind the fact that men were so created by God as to be attracted by your beauty by our eyes. It doesn't work so much when you look at men. If you are dressed skimpily, it causes lascivious and lewd thoughts in our heads. It's simply nature, but forget about during the church service. Remember modesty!

I find it frustrating to go to church, cuz, even though I'm a girl, it still is offensive to see the amount of skin that some of these young girls and women show. Modesty has become a dirty word in our culture because it is equated with frumpiness and lookin like a pioneer. Unfortunatly, many in the church share this attitude. I like to dress nice and look cute, but, Godly deeds are indeed more important in the long run. The battle for modesty is a battle worth fighting.

The cleavage thing is a big deal for me. I see women dressed suited and then there is the cleavage. I'm a woman, I don't want to see another womans cleavage either, I feel for men because I even have to turn my eyes away from this. As a young woman in high school, your videos are very encouraging. I've never really been one to dress inappropriately, but this reminds me that I shouldn't be ashamed in the least that I don't. "Sexiness" has become what women desire, and it's putting so many girls under pressure to be something unrealistic and frankly, not so beautiful. Praise God for a vid on modesty. Our society has gone off the deep end making an idol out of women's bodies. Our body as a Christian is the temple of the Lord. Most women get their examples of lewdness, impurity, and immodesty from television and movies.God forbid that the ungodly from hollywood are the examples that young women and ladies are following. It all starts with a man staring at a woman. When she dresses up in immodest clothes, she's making him sin in his heart. And this is not just for young girls. I've seen many 40, 50 year old ladies who dressed up very immodestly. And, of course, the world does not help.. pushing young girls to be sexy. We can keep or minds clean by filling it with Gods word. There are few examples of lady like godly modesty in todays culture. Even in church immodesty prevails. Very few role models of modesty today. Though our daughters are young, we are teaching them about modesty in their every walk...Something like this should start from day one even in the way we dress our littlest girls. Clothing made today for many department stores are very far from modest and that's why I've been using my gift of sewing to create beautiful, modest dresses and other clothing for our daughters.
