this is really dumb i dont see what the point in fighting on who is better the who. at my school rotc and colorguard get along really well we try each others weapons and watch each other perform so really we dont have to have this colorguard rotc war going on we are both awesome and i think if you are going to be saying this you dont deserve to be spinning a weapon because we represent something when we do be it our country or our school

This isn't military drill, don't be an asshole. What you and I do DERIVES from band color and winter guards. It's a lot harder to coordinate your movements in between your footwork and the beat of a piece of music.

Exactly...I guess that's what you were taught but the way I learned was to keep a strong release hand(2-at the shoulder, 3-make an "L", 4-slightly above the head, 5 and up are a full release...).

I know for a fact it isn't just my guard that does this. But anyway, I guess it doesn't matter because everything is taught slightly different from area to area.

It can! Just don't write any work that you have second thoughts about. The moment you are like "ahh, I don't know if I want this in or not" take it out! Only write work that is fun for you to do, that you can do confidently.

With confidence, practice, and a good attitude, you'd be surprised at what would be accomplished!
