We can't legalize drugs or open immigration until we end social entitlements like welfare, and medicaid. We have enough problems without opening those two Pandora's Boxes. Look at the financial ruin that has taken place in AZ and the other border states due to the immigration problems, and the drug war.

@dachickenman In a nutshell, his answer is to de-criminalize a dangerous set of behaviours, drug abuse might cause a person to become permanently damaged and unable to sustain himself. We can't allow people to go onto welfare and medicaid after voluntarily fucking themselves up on drugs. @Zooksboardshop by far the big money is in drugs and that money pays for corruption. Kidnapping doesn't produce the same revenues and therefore doesn't have the same corrosive impact on civil society. Drug legalization would completely undermine the drug cartels and reduce both governments' needs for extra police, courts, prisons, and lawyers :) Most importantly it would eliminate the war against the users and our American freedoms.
