"In a World" Where Don LaFontaine is not alive and doing voiceover work is a world I wish I could change. Rest In Peace Don you are missed by millions.
don was, and always will be, the man when it comes to vox work. i still can't believe he is gone. simply put, he's a legendary talent and i will miss him forever. my pick for the next great vox talent is chris corley. ridiculous pipes and already all over the scene for quite some time.
What's really cool is that his "movie trailer" voice is the same as his normal voice. He doesn't seem to change anything or adjust his voice in anyway.
i wish i had that ability. the ability to make everyone go crazy just by talking. hahaha! that would be so cool. like, "my feet stink.." and the people cheer for me, "wooohoooo!" hahahaha! this guy is awesome.
In a time... when movie trailers needed to get to the point... one man emerged from the rubble... steven spielberg presents... in this epic movie masterpiece... Don LaFontaine... Movie announcer
little wtf ?, he's about 1.74 cm without shoes on, of course with those three giraffes next to him he looks short. On top of that the women are wearing like 5 inch heels.
IF & WHEN they make a full length motion picture documentary about my life, Don LaFontaine will be the voice you hear, throughout the film! Ladies and Gentlemen....the voice of Don LaFontaine!!! (applause) David Harrison Levi - Beverly Hills, CA 90210 USA
Thanks, Kuzosama. I don't know if Don ever plans to write an auto-biography, but if so, I think the perfect title would be "In a World Where Movie Fans Occupy the Theaters..." or maybe "In a World Where Giant Screens Show Moving Pictures..." Any title will do, so long it begins with "In a World." All in all, we're lucky to have Don in OUR world.
