You mean color palettes? Pressing different buttons in the character select screen when picking your character (i.e. X and O/A and B have different colors for the selected character) will do that. If you're playing BBCS/CS2, press Start instead of the face buttons and a palette selection window will pop up.

While the online community isn't as full of spammers and such as Street Fighter's, there's a bit of character abusing online. In terms of forums and such, you can go to sites like the Shoryuken boards, Fighter's Generation or Dustloop (which is dedicated to Guilty Gear and BlazBlue). You should be able to get info and tips there. :P

Probably not. Even though Arc System wants to make BB as widely known as possible (PS3, 360, now PSP and even a DS spinoff), a PC version is unlikely to make much profit. Take SFIV, for example -- it didn't sell nearly as well as Capcom had thought, and it went well under the console version sales.
It sure was worth it when it was the first confirmation of the game coming to consoles -- people had assumed it's only coming to PS3, and when Harry said "Xbox 360", a lot of people were probably very, very happy. :P

This game really does look great. And people say 2D fighters are dead and don't count for next gen. This game passes in every way. The characters are really unique and well drawn. I wish street fighter 4 was done like this. I know sf4 is 2D and a great fighter, however anime style graphics and new abilities would have done sf4 more justice. Haha yeah, every fighting game seems to be trying to be creative with their battle openings. "Duel X, Let's Rock" was my favorite by far, but Tekken's simple and clean "Round X, Fight!" is good enough.
I REALLY hope they have DLC that includes alternate costumes or more characters or something. Not enough characters in my opinion. Then again... The BlazBlue series is just starting out.

Tager is actually pretty good, he's just not such a great counter for some characters.
And well, since there were only two hidden characters anyways (Nu and Hakumen), both of which were accessed in the arcades way before the console release, it makes sense to have them in from the get-go.
That's a good thing isn't it? One of the biggest gripes I had with SF4 was having to unlock the whole cast before being able to play as them. Unlocking the artwork is fine, but competitve multiplayer games (especially fighters) shouldn't have you do a bunch of chores to unlock the cast.

You're currently watching one, haha. The stage in this video doesn't really show it, but all the backgrounds in BlazBlue are 3D. It's best seen in Litchi's stage, Oriental Town. The two console-exclusive stages (Monorail and Carnival) also use the feature really well. You should watch a few match videos and see for yourself, you'll notice how well the backgrounds have been made!
Im sorry i meant like an adventure game when you can walk all around in 360 deg...for instance lets say ninja gaiden had a 3d background but all the characters were 2d. A full all-round motion.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this is not really a G4 video...nice lie, though.

And you can't win with Arakune if you're not skilled. See, his learning curve is steep (as in hard) as hell, only beaten by Rachel and Carl's.
If you devote enough time to learning the character, they can be just as good as you let them be.

BlazBlue however does a rather good job of having a high degree of "competitive variety".

I guess you could technically pin down a primary character in a lot of the big franchises out there. Ryu in Street Fighter, for example.
Like Guilty Gear, this game probably has two particular characters that dislike each other who stand as the primary characters.

I wish street fighter 4 was done like this. I know sf4 is 2D and a great fighter, however anime style graphics and new abilities would have done sf4 more justice. To be honest I kind of like street fighter third strike better. I hope third strike becomes a download. I think I will buy this real soon.

this is FACT ... blazblue needed 4 guys[or girls] to design each character and his / her moves. and even at that it took them on average a couple of months to do so for each character, this is like a interactive movie not just a game

Freakin awesome. Fighters are back and with a vengeance. There is something for everybody- Street Fighter fans, KOF fans, guitly gear fans, and crossover fans. Personally, I am happy to see the return of true 2D fighters.

Haha yeah, every fighting game seems to be trying to be creative with their battle openings. "Duel X, Let's Rock" was my favorite by far, but Tekken's simple and clean "Round X, Fight!" is good enough.

I REALLY hope they have DLC that includes alternate costumes or more characters or something. Not enough characters in my opinion. Then again... The BlazBlue series is just starting out.

Nah, Wii loves people who have the Wii, just not the hardcore people who have a Wii. They love the soccer moms and 8-year olds that play Wii. While us real gamers who actually play the Wii for GAMES, get screwed and get stupid casual games.

Tager is actually pretty good, he's just not such a great counter for some characters.
And well, since there were only two hidden characters anyways (Nu and Hakumen), both of which were accessed in the arcades way before the console release, it makes sense to have them in from the get-go.

That's a good thing isn't it? One of the biggest gripes I had with SF4 was having to unlock the whole cast before being able to play as them. Unlocking the artwork is fine, but competitve multiplayer games (especially fighters) shouldn't have you do a bunch of chores to unlock the cast.

Yup, by the same developers. And not does it only look like GG, it functions pretty much like it as well.
But note that BB is a spiritual successor to Guilty Gear, not a branch of it. It's not located in the same universe.

You're currently watching one, haha. The stage in this video doesn't really show it, but all the backgrounds in BlazBlue are 3D. It's best seen in Litchi's stage, Oriental Town. The two console-exclusive stages (Monorail and Carnival) also use the feature really well. You should watch a few match videos and see for yourself, you'll notice how well the backgrounds have been made!

Im sorry i meant like an adventure game when you can walk all around in 360 deg...for instance lets say ninja gaiden had a 3d background but all the characters were 2d. A full all-round motion.
