I enjoyed the first one and liked where they were going with it so I didn't think it would hurt to get this one. I wasn't about to torrent it seeing as I wouldn't want people to torrent my work. Hopefully this will be interesting play/story.

@poskaar I hear magic users are very fun to run through as, I didn't have the guts for it, though. :p

@ghostetler88 I must tell you that was easier. Just pick up enemies from distance using fire darts and with ice lance later but this game is fun probably with any char. In my second playthrough (if will be any) I probably pick up ranger :-)

@poskaar Ah, good idea! I was actually going to play the game as a ranger initially, but I was worried about ammo conservation so I went with melee. I'm thinking on playing the third game as an archer/caster. Should be interesting.

@nwstud31 I wouldn't say the ending sucks, but it definitely comes completely out of left field. You can't even see it coming until the last hour or two of the game. Felt kinda forced, to be honest.

It was such an awesome game...and then i got to the ending. The ending ruins the entire game experience.

@karry299 Gotta say that I agree with you on the ending; I can't say I was a fan of it either.

@Ssschah14 I don't use a camera to do my recordings, I use FRAPS, it's a video recording program. I'd recommend using something like ZDSoft if you're still new to video work as FRAPS requires a LOT of post recording work to be done before it can be used.

@Ssschah14 If worse comes to worse I may have to resort to that myself. I think that I'm getting fairly close to finishing the game though I think I may have to do some training before I'm ready to fight the taurax, they're pretty tough customers.

@Ssschah14 I haven't beaten Eschalon Book II, no. My plan is to somehow get to General Ghorr (probably dying a good many times on the way) and use the plasma wand to kill him. I just hope eight charges with the thing are enough to do the job.

Thanks for the video man, was the perfect into to the game I needed :)

Now I have to load up Book 1 and "try" again...the Salamanders and their damn poison seem to get me cornered and dying eventually every time I played.

This was fairly early in the game and I just hadn't found a way to combat it enough. Didn't have enough gold to purchase cure poison pots and didn't know how to make any...thus my own personal brick wall lol

Maybe I need to think outside the box and try something new :)

I totally hear you on not having enough money to do much; I'm about eight hours into this game and I barely have enough money to repair my damaged gear most of the time.

O_O..., Did i just waste... 24 points on concentration, cuz i thought that was the only skill that affected your to Hit rating... could this be the reason that i have been missing so many hits?

@Phatolot Well, according to the manual, concentration does increase your ability to hit things. Dexterity also increases to-hit as well. From what I've found, you miss a lot early on, then, once you start investing in your weapon skills, it gets better. You can also use the fighting styles to gain a bonus to your to-hit modifier as well (I believe finesse fighting fives you a +30% bonus to-hit at a -30% penalty to damage).

I have been having trouble enjoying this game just beacuse of the to-hit rating, i died alot just beacuse my character couldn't score a single hit :S.

Also, im currently at level 4 fighter, and was wondering if it's too late for me to start learning some magic spells?

@Phatolot Yeah, I can see playing a melee character being pretty tough early on. I, luckily, had the firedart spell to fall back on. It really helped.

As for your learning magic; you can learn it any time you want to so long as you meet the prerequisites for it (15 Int for 1st level elemental magic and 15 Wis for 1st level divination magic).

@LynxenX Glad you're enjoying it; the game is indeed quite fun and from what I've played (pretty much what I've posted here on YouTube), I'd recommend it. :D
