  • Please,Gene...don't smoke.

  • I have this one in my collection. What makes this film noir work are the characters and the acting, as well as the camera angles and lighting.

  • "you're wasting your time. She has good sense too."

    "You're jealous."

Too funny! I love this movie to bits! Such a dark, but strangely entertaining film.

  • Vincent Price looks so different without his moustache.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie!

  • Vincent Price was so handsome and dashing

  • I love that - "I concealed my annoyance with masterly self-control"

Webb is such a great snob in this movie.

  • omg, 2:22 when he blows the smoke in a direct line across her eyes... WOW. that is such a gorgeous shot. i don't know why i'm so obsessed with it, but it's great.

  • Vincent Price in an atypical role, a playboyish guy who cast an eye on Gene Tierney. Still, his delightfully sarcastic way of talking and dealing with all things are already present. Great Vincent!! Thanks for posting.

  • When asked, I've told people a few times that Gene Tierney was the best looking woman I've ever seen. She had it all, but it's unfortunate she smoked cigarettes, as they surely shortened her life so. I saw her once in the Warwick of Houston as she came through the lobby going to coffee or tea-lunch, etc..about 77,or78.

  • I think it's difficult to say, who has been the most attractive actress. If asking me, I would say the young Linda Darnell. She was so lovely and enchanting.

  • Yes, at different ages of life, depending on the angles it would be difficult to choose. They are kind of like dreams now and are gone. We can see their images and still somehow feel their charm. I am glad these famous stars are preserved, at least in films and photos, etc..

  • @gnsback The great Warwick -- Bob Hope's favorite hotel. I appeared there many times. Miss Tierney lived in River Oaks.. a few stumbles from the Warwick. Miss Gene rests next to her husband, Howard Lee, at Glenwood.

  • vincents voice is so strong and haunting. no matter what.

    blrilliant. I love this movie.
