she has a decent voice and yes its a bit husky and sexy but she can't hold a note and doesn't have a powerful voice which someone in her "class" for instance Damien Rice (yes I know he is her inspiration) can actually hold a powerful note for a decent period of time without having to do that little flick up in tone at the end which diana does the hide her weaker voice

You're missing the point. The X factor is what it says on the tin - it's not just about singing. Diana is sexy and talented and she has her own special vocal style. In other words, she has oodles of X Factor. Bob Dylan can't sing but he's a genius. Leonard Cohen is dour but a genius. It's not all about delivery; it's about the way it's delivered. Geddit?

i think she has a good sound it just the voice type she has is really difficult to work with if u dont have the proper training and im not saying the 1 week they give her on x factor. Shes good but need alot more trainig cos her vocal ranges cut off sometimes and she doesnt listen to her back up singers or they dont listen to her when she has them. But with training she could be good or even great i think she sound like a deeper voiced cindy lauper

i didnt watch her video, i just read the comments, and wanted to talk to someone who actually likes her, to see if they can help me to hear what they are jearing, cos she sounds awful to me. Maybe its me, when i listen, she crucifys every song. She has a very limited career ahead of her if she does win, being quirky and different doesnt make you talented.

she hasnt got good range, a cliche from someone who knows nothing about the conventional wisdom on singing. DV is young and attractive and different, which is all thats req'red nowadays to become a shortlived success. She has a really affected style born out of a lack of vocal skills, granted, she is diferent but not unique. Shes a poor version of singer from cranberries, ltd range & vocal skills used to best effect. But in the truest sense, DV can't be described as a good singer.
