video's wrong. Most TMJ pain's from bruxing, not malocclusion, causing trauma to more than muscles. Diagnose bruxing, & if yes, stop with contingent electrical stim. EMG tells you, and also tells if treatment's working.

@omgitschaeji TMJ is actually the abbreviation of the name of the joint (Temporal Mandibular Joint). TMD is the abbreviation of the Dysfunction of the TMJoint. Some people will use the term TMJ to mean TMJ problem like TMD or TMPDS (temporomandibular pain dysfunction syndrome = TMJoint dysfunction w/ pain and causes a bunch of problems). It's like saying I have a head vs. I have a headache
