  • Subbed, you're a resourceful individual.

  • [VGCY] You rock!

  • Holy shit i didn't know that. Thanks man, subbed.

  • Thx alot for making this video! It's really not that intuitive if played games like Quake before, where actually had to jump to gain speed. Makes things lot more easier. Thx and cheers!

  • If you're trying to get the most speed, when do you stop holding back after jetting up a slope?

  • @BAMBOOBANGER - You normally stop holding back when you feel you'll gain enough height for the landing. When using the jetpack to gain speed, the landing is the most critical step; if you come in to steep you'll crash into the ground, which, in effect, wastes energy. If you have a good, steep, slope for the landing, and you don't need to worry about energy afterwards, continue holding back until travelling up.

Put short, hold the back key as long as you need more height(and are heading forward).

  • Amazing video but I have discovered a technique that you did not mention using the methods you described.

  • @hentaixen - Cool. You should post a video, or describe it so I can post a video.

  • Air strafing actually works?

  • @radicoolted - Yes, air strafing works quite well. Air strafing works without the jetpack active, but is enhanced when the jetpack is active.

I posted a couple of strafe practice videos, you might check those out if your interested in the air strafing system.

  • lol

  • what i dont get though is why would you want to make that circle and land on the flag almost vertically? is it meant for capping it? in which case it isnt practical because the longer you are in the air the greater the chance of being greeted by a bxt1. and ive noticed ive used this skipping method to steer myself behind the hill(to shield from enemy fire) when capping at the blue base comnig from the left tower.

  • @churde Its not meant to be practical. I'm merely used it to demonstrate strafing. The spot is great for practicing, but as you pointed out, would be wildly impractical when used online.
