You can get infected from a person after close proximity for about eight hours. A long flight between London and South Africa would do it. The WHO found that people seated in two rows all around the infection source have been infected on such flights. They have an extensive report about it on their website.

It's not a virus. It's a bacillus which floats in the air and is coughed out by infected patients. So anybody can get it when they get too close to such a patient.

i agree with ffcrazy, in this case, as with all, god wont help you with fighting the infection...Rifampicin, Isoniazid, Ethambutol, Pyrazinamide and Streptomycin will.

actually you need to be in close contact with a person for a long long period of time in order to contract it....and even then...only 10 % of those doing that would develop TB and it's only those with lowered immune systems.

Tuberculosis it's very dangerous. There is lot of sick people in the east europe, it could may be a big problem soon, because our immunulogic system is very weak thanks to our fast way of life. What about H5n1? whole drugs were sold??? so no H5n1 any more???
