as soon as i get the 8800 twin model up and running i'll send you a pic, but due to the cost and and time associated with r&d and part gathering that could be a several months, but this time i'm planning on postin a much better video coulpled with many detailed pictures...
did you do all of this by imagination or did you get the prints from somewhere.....I love lego cranes.....Price is not a factor for me....how can I get the drawings or schmatics
I kept a model/prototype of most of the boom built - at least a copy of each section both tips and bases and a copy of one of the crawlers. as for a blueprints or schematics that would be quite difficult althought i do have many more pics when i built it i was doing more of a guess and check with about 5 teardown rebuilds 2 but if you do want the picks i can get you those!
i would like to know if you have ever thought about selling it. i have the one from lego with the eight wheels and the extendable boom. i would like a model of your crane.
Honestly at one point I did...but at this point in time, I don't even have it assembled not to mention that the cost of construction (upwards of 15 hundred dollars)also the time tracking the parts and the about 200 plus hours of building and development oh and the shipping 20 plus pounds I woulplus of Lego in the model you see in the video and that's the "short" version at its tallest it was nearly 20 feet tall and took up about 10 square feet counting the suspended ballast
Bricklink is an excellent source but a terrible drain on the wallet they have almost every individual piece, but be warned prices are high the crane took about $1500.00 usd to build! ebay and lego educational division are also great.
Epic!!!!

Impressive crane but whatever you do, don't turn the tv off in the background for 2 minutes or put a light on your subject to shoot your video.
