  • Nothing to do with heysel, that happened a few weeks later. In those days, most clubs sang YNWA, united fans even sang it, I saw this myself on ESPN classic from the late 70's. Liverpool seemed to make it their own after heysel and more so after hillsborough. I was on the kippax that day ( I was only 12 ) but the whole ground was rocking, today's atmosphere is crap compared to this !

  • Call me ignorant, but I'm a younger City fan who wasn't born in the 80s - why were the City fans singing this?? Was it something to with Heysel and Liverpool?
