  • @cujo9 Thought they were from the West Midlands - Birmingham perhaps?

  • I don't mind a few people have disliked this video because now the dislike bar looks like a joint :)

It'll only take 3mins and this band are great!

  • Met the drummer two days ago, he was so cool! :D These guys are really great!

  • Rob Newman piss takes rule

  • I miss the Madchester times ...

  • thegoodteacher(dot)com

  • Cool song! Very much in the style of those days...in the same realm as Jesus Jones and Lush among others...

  • @wybacon It was in those days you cockend

  • definitely an E song!

  • The Charlatans are from Wolverampton.

  • @PD1968 there really not

  • this is real FIFA soundtrack sounding!

  • Super !!! ( from Greece )

  • The organ music sounds like Deep Purple's 1968 song Hush

  • @ninelivecat

    STFU.

  • @Shirokinukatsukami Right back at you Asshole Deep Purple wrote the music Charlatans sampled it

  • @ninelivecat

No shit? This song has been around for more than twenty years. That means we have had more than twenty years of know-it-all morons who feel intent on informing the world about the Hush riff. Thanks for bringing something new to the table after all these years, dipshit. What an amazing insight and revelation.

  • @ninelivecat They did a better job with the riff though.

  • Hammond, wah-wah, groovy bass and that smoky sixth-form vocal. The dogs. 2:44.

  • This was the last single I ever bought. I heard it on the radio and rushed out and bought it.

  • yeah jimmy grimble haha

  • ANOTHER CLASSIC TUNE

  • The "dislikes" are probably Lady Gaga fans, so they can eat my ass. Fucking wankers.

  • @pbstl747 I like this song, and I'm a Lady Gaga fan. I bought "Some Friendly" when it came out in 1990. Who's the "fucking wanker" now?

  • @dgartner1 you, for liking Lady Gaga.

  • Seen them sing this live twice, amazing!!!

  • RESUCITA EL ALMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • Sounds like hush at the start

  • @hindusound i know exactly what you mean. i think the 90s may have been the coolest decade ever

  • este som é simplesmente du caraleo.

  • it was 1990

  • the smiths would have been non exsistant without johnny mar!!! morrisey was and still is a right prick !!!..

  • this was when people actually put some thought into their music and made harmonies.

  • We need another Manc Scene...

  • Juliet - you are so off the mark it is woeful

  • This was years ago... The Charlatans, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Blur laid the foundations, then years later bandsl like Oasis turned up... and went... and the early madchester bans are still here.

  • @MrNathanGarner you're forgetting the originals, THE SMITTTHHHHSSS

  • Could anyone tell me what year this song/band was getting alot of airplay in the U.S? It does sound alot like Stone Roses but maybe the Britts might say that STP, Pearl Jam, Creed, and alot of othe "grunge" bands sound alike. I thought Oasis did this song at first.

  • @juliet1978ful

This song made it to number 5 in the US Modern Rock chart. and number 9 in the UK. They were never a grunge band!

  • Why does Tim always wear a wig these days,I never even noticed he was going bald?

  • This is sounds waay too much like the Stone Roses

  • Amazing .... a big fuck off to lady ga ga,justin biebler, take that & all the other shit that's taken over the good music channels we used to have.

  • the only hit they had :P

  • Great band until Keith Moon left it...

  • fucking brill.

  • they never seemed to make it big over here, too bad

  • I saw them live!

  • pure greatness this band should in the rock' roll hall of fame

  • FUCK UMG. But great song.

  • can't believe how good this song was and is compared to the weak shit i hear now. it's more punk-alt rock than all of the worthless screamo bands today. and they're not even trying to do that..

  • this used to be my high song!

  • hell yeah' the memories

  • awesome tune.

  • used to skate 1989, bones brigade bitche's DOG TOWN SUCKER''S, ANY WHO , I''M JUST SAYIN ,GOD BLESS UALL THAT READ THIS , TIM ,SMILEY FACE

  • @RUBIDOUXTIM / COOL BRO

  • Charlatan U.K. ? This Charlatan is the only one I know.

  • FOOKIN MONCHASTAHH!

  • was sad...now happy

  • obama jammed to this at Punahou high school, i watched in horror.

  • this is the best track the stone roses never done.

  • @IMPERIALSTORMTROOPER too true. Until recently I always thought this was a Stone Roses song....and their best song at that. Love live the Stone Roses and The Charlatans!

  • @brettgrady nice one mate, i seen the complete stone roses and they were bang on it. heard the roses were reforming in all, how good would that be

  • @IMPERIALSTORMTROOPER Good call! Winter Hour, Stone Roses, and Charlatans UK were the groups in Va Beach back in the day. Oh, and the HooDoo Gurus!

  • @IMPERIALSTORMTROOPER , well said TK ;)

  • @IMPERIALSTORMTROOPER BECAUSE THEY HADNT THE PASSION AND THE KNOW HOW....

  • manc's ..lol fukin black country boy's ! the midlands drummer

  • This was a pretty low period in "alternative" pop. Bands like the Charlatans lazily just ripped off the psychedelic sounds of the mid-sixties. Weak sauce.

I actually fell asleep at a Catharine Wheel gig, and I wasn't even on anything. Maybe that's why!

  • This is a great song, but seriously this song reminds me a lot the early Deep Purple!

  • Comment removed

  • class.

  • I cant believe how few people know the charlatans. No one my age knows them, most people my age are into R & B, Dance, Techno and all that crap. This is proper music.

  • Erm The Charlatans aren't actually from Manchester... lol

  • @BRONXIRISH78 stfu paddie you would not know anything if it was carved in a potato

  • umas das minas musicas preferidas foi com ela que fez eu entrar no mundo da musica britanica

  • After a couple of love doves this song made you feel like a champion.

  • i have the stone roses playlist on at the mo, and this came, cant help thinking theve lifted the tune from a song called "hush" which deep purple amongst others have covered, and then droped in some very Ian Brownish lyrics and singing style, comes out o.k in the end

  • chidisima rola (Y)

  • still playing this tune about once a day sooo coool i never rated them at the time i must have been mad !!!!!!
