Unless Robin is living some sort of double life where she goes to college and studies Econmics while being roommates with Cindy (Rachel Bilson) then it's not her.

I never thought about it but I suppose that it is a bit weird that you hear all of this story from Ted's perspective and not the mother's, and that she would have her own story to tell of how she met Ted. All of that points to her not really being there at the telling of this otherwise she would at least make some remarks on the story. Unless Ted is just randomly telling them when she is out but that doesn't sound right.
@Thorbi1983 I'm not really sure, that could allude to it. However at the end of series 4, Ted begins to teach an architechture class and he says that one of the women in there is the mother. So unless for some unknown plot development (such as Robin watching his class for god knows why) that will be revealed later, Robin can't be the mother. I wish she was the mother because I think I prefer Robin and Ted than her with Barney (just my opinion, doesn't matter)

What exactly did you expect them to say if they were indeed going to marry them? Reveal that now? I don't think so. Also if you watch the Season 6 premiere you might change your mind since at the end of the episode Barney marrying Robin was the explanation that covered all things mentioned in the wedding scenes in none of which appears Robin or Barney.
Robin and Ted were too believeable I think. They shouldn't have hyped it up so much in the first two seasons! They seemed like a really strong couple, and the I love you bit? What was that even for?
Though there is always this--he could be ending up with Robin. Mother=/= married to.

If you have seen the Season 6 premiere you will remember that Ted, Marshall and Lily attend a mysterious wedding where Ted is the best man and he has to give a speech. The only two that don't appear at the wedding is Barney and Robin. And you see when Robin changes appearance how Barney was impressed with her and looked as if the spark was back. As it is now Barney's and Robin's wedding makes the only sense that Ted would be best man of. Unless they are trying to throw us off.
I barely started watching this show, but I love it. Especially Barney. >w< I swear Neil is such a great actor. If you didn't know him at all and watched this show, you would never know he was gay in real life. He is amazing!
I watched an episode of HIMYM recently, the description of which said that "Robin is over Barney", which I would assume meant that they broke up. If that's true, then that would suck, a lot.

@andremj01 Kids often call friends of their parents uncle or aunt, it's a term of endearment and shouldn't be taken literally. It's possible that Ted might marry Robin's sister though and then she would be the kids' blood related aunt. I hate to burst your bubble but Robin and Ted aren't going to end up together, the show has made that clear.

I SO hope they end up together. I understand the writers had to break them up for the sake of the show (let's face it - single Barney is much more interesting character than Barney in a relationship), but he can't be a womanizer for the rest of his life, can he? He and Robin are simply perfect for each other... and they should be together.

@zvykackaOrbit just for comparison sake, this show is similar to f.r.i.e.n.d.s and joey ended up alone. joey and pheobe did, so it wouldnt be so bad if barney ended up alone

What exactly did you expect them to say if they were indeed going to marry them? Reveal that now? I don't think so. Also if you watch the Season 6 premiere you might change your mind since at the end of the episode Barney marrying Robin was the explanation that covered all things mentioned in the wedding scenes in none of which appears Robin or Barney.

Robin and Ted were too believeable I think. They shouldn't have hyped it up so much in the first two seasons! They seemed like a really strong couple, and the I love you bit? What was that even for?
Though there is always this--he could be ending up with Robin. Mother=/= married to.
And Barney will not get married to Robin. He womanizes too much, it's part of who he is. That and suiting up lol.

@swimfastfly27 Did you see the season premiere of season 6 last week there was definite foreshadowing going on b/w Robin and Barney. Plus the whole relationship b/w Robin and Barney was him realizing that he actually wants to be in a committed relationship

If you have seen the Season 6 premiere you will remember that Ted, Marshall and Lily attend a mysterious wedding where Ted is the best man and he has to give a speech. The only two that don't appear at the wedding is Barney and Robin. And you see when Robin changes appearance how Barney was impressed with her and looked as if the spark was back. As it is now Barney's and Robin's wedding makes the only sense that Ted would be best man of. Unless they are trying to throw us off.

I barely started watching this show, but I love it. Especially Barney. >w< I swear Neil is such a great actor. If you didn't know him at all and watched this show, you would never know he was gay in real life. He is amazing!

I watched an episode of HIMYM recently, the description of which said that "Robin is over Barney", which I would assume meant that they broke up. If that's true, then that would suck, a lot.

@andremj01 Kids often call friends of their parents uncle or aunt, it's a term of endearment and shouldn't be taken literally. It's possible that Ted might marry Robin's sister though and then she would be the kids' blood related aunt. I hate to burst your bubble but Robin and Ted aren't going to end up together, the show has made that clear.

@andremj01 I still call one of my dads estranged friends uncle when ever we are talking about him and we're not even related but I grew up calling him uncle so thats what he is to me
