  • in my fish tank there are two oscar fight with each other why thy fight plz tell me ?

  • My friend has 3 Oscars n a 125 gal tank. 1 tiger Oscar, 1 albino tiger, and 1 regular Oscar. She's looking on upgrading to a bigger tank... but the Oscars are around 4". She loves your set up. She wants to add more fish to her tank, but she's afraid the Oscars won't like room mates. Can she add any other fish? She's getting a 250 gal tank in the spring next year. How she gets these huge tanks, idk, she says its simple... so can she add anymore fish??

  • thats the nicest tank ive seen in while! ive always wanted a bigass tank like that but ive always thought twice bcuz it would be a pain in the ass to clean

  • I am diggin on that set-up. I have a ship in my oscar tank, too, but my oscar keeps pushing it over to its side.

  • man i want a tank that big or even bigger i only have a50 gallon

  • Cracking tank. 6 ft?

  • Tiger barbs can be vicious when they're in a pack..I used to have a pack of 12 in a 55 gallon tank I had...they terrorized my oscar I had in there temporarily while I was cycling out his tank.

  • thats a beautiful fish tank u hav there

  • YOU ARE KILLING THEM WIT THIS TANK

  • holy shit thats a big ass tank

  • do you think a dragon goby (8 inches) would get eaten by my peacock eel? (12 inches) i need an answer so i can know whether or not to tranfer my goby to my other tank prepared

  • I would say no but you never know with fish. "Fish eat Fish" so there is always a risk.

  • @1524raely nope 12 inch is too big for him to swallow btw i have a peacock eel i have hime for about 2 months on a 20 gal and his 8 inch i was wondering how long did it reach yours to grow to 12

  • Hey awesome tank! So how're the fish, now?

  • Thanks! We lost our white Oscar due to intestinal blockage and a ruptured adomen but the rest are doing great. I hope to get a new video of the tank this weekend.

  • Poor guy.

  • WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW AMAZING! As soon as im done with graduate school im trading in my 28 gallon bow front for a huge tank like that =D

  • Thanks :) Keep that 28 for a hospital tank :)

  • i am just saying only a rich person could have that kind of tank

  • LOL, I wish I was rich. Some times hard work and saving your money will get a person what they want.

  • only rich people can have that kind of tank, i have a 10 gallon and that was a lot of money

  • lol so im consiterd rich since i have a 350gallon fish tank?

  • wow, how do you have a 30 hundred gallon? where do u get the water lol

    nice tank though

  • Thanks, from the city water supply :)

  • the dinosaur bichir is my favorite fish mines name is general yum yum

  • that is so cool i wish i could have one i have a 20 gallon fish tank and i have 1 bass

  • So pretty! Do you have any crayfish or other creepy crawlies in there?

ty for sharing them with us :)

  • Nope, I think they would get eaten. Thanks

  • awesome tank!!

  • Thanks!!

  • You should get a red tail shovel nose hybrid catfish or a paroon shark the only prob is they would end up getin huge and eating your fish. Nice tank tho

  • Thanks, I would like a 12"-18" full size catfish some day.

  • woah how much did that tank cost you?!?

  • Too much :)

  • just name it how much!!!?????!??!!!!??!!

  • are they pacu's or parrinas

  • The Silver Dollars are cousins to the Piranha.

  • it'd be really nice if you'd planted it.

  • I'd love to but the Oscars would destroy them.

  • aaahhh 300g tank. my dream as soon as I move out of my rents house and into mine I m dedicating an entire wall to my fish hehe. for now I m settling with a 45g. lovely tank mate.

  • You'll love it!

  • what is that thing called underneath the ship

  • Wow 300 gallon :D AMAZING

  • nice tank!!! and oscars!

  • nice tank, but a small note i would take the small barb's out as they will make for a quick snack for the oscars when the oscars get a little bigger

  • Ya think? :) Gotta read it all, they were used to cycle the tank. A year and a half later I still have 3 left and NOBODY jacks with them.

  • nice tank but the fake plants gotta go, get real one.

  • Oscars and real plants don't mix. :(

Check out Video #3, starting to look better as the plants age and some have been removed. Thanks.

  • very great tank, wish I could get mine to look like that when I get one

How big is the tank anyways

Up uploading a current video today, check it out. They have really grown!

  • what a beautiful tank!!! you really know what you're doing, that's for sure! 10 stars!

  • nossa... muito lindo seu aquario!!! parabens

  • an what cichlids can go in with the barbs and not eat them, I have some in my 30 but am getting a 90 sooo...yea

  • Just do a lot of research on the net about the different temperaments of cichlids. It's pretty much a crap shoot but there are some that are better than others. My Aceis seem to be pretty peaceful. As far as that goes the Oscars are pretty darned peaceful as well.

  • lil bad ass barbs hangin with the big fish

  • There are still three left!! The Oscars act like they aren't even there these days :)

  • DUDE THATS LIKE THREE TIMES THE SIZE OF MY TANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nice bichir,i have one and i love him.

check out my 55(my violet goby died)

  • fn huge long tank!!!!

  • pimp-O-licious

  • awesome tank

  • nice tank

  • Thanks!

  • how often do you have to do a gravel vac on a tank that large? how long does a typical water change usually take?

  • I change 25% of the water once a week and vacuum the gravel once every two weeks. The gravel vac\water change takes about an hour from start to finish.

  • Do your oscars eat/ pick on the other fish like the tiger barbs?

  • I originally had about 24 Tiger Barbs that were used to cycle the tank. I have 4 very fast Tiger Barbs remaining :)

  • tank like that deserves bigger fish but you've got a nice school of silver dollars there

  • have the oscars moved everything around yet?

  • Just a couple of the plants so far. I'm glad they have weighted bases :)

They have also learned to dig holes in the gravel.

  • How much did the tank cost?

  • The original owner had around 6k invested into it. I bought it from him for A LOT less.

  • must be hard cleaning it rofl

  • Hard, no, gotta have the right tools. Time consuming, a little. I spend an average of about 1 to 1 1/2 hour a week maintaining it. Well worth the time.

  • dude that is a big tank get more fish

  • I added two Gold Severums since this video and that is enough. They are all growing into the tank nicely. I don't like overstocked tanks.

Check out my (part2) video. Part 3 will be coming soon.

  • hey bro nice tank. i have 2 oscars and a jd there small right now but do you have any suggestions on food to feed them like treats? i fed them some baby guppies today.

  • One suggestion DONT FEED THEM LIVE FOOD retard. Buy them Hikari Cichlid pellets.

  • hey whats up man i can answer that im not the owner of this video or anyhing i was just viewing his video and saw your comment anyway i have two oscars and two jds i feed them the brand hikari and the name cichlid gold i fine its very good and color enchancing its the red package with a red oscar on the front now treats u can them feeder fish once a month.u want to limit yourself on live foods they can catch diseases from just eating live foods.

  • WHy feed em live food AT ALL? for entertainment? why risk getting your tank infected or having your fish get hole in the head? its not even a treat i think a nasty feeder wouldnt taste as good as flavored food. IMO

  • I NEVER feed them feeder fish. That is just asking for disease.

I feed Hikari Cichlid Gold and Excel. Tubifex worms, Quality Spirilina pellets, frozen silversides, frozen bloodworms, krill and just placed an order with Kensfish for some of his different cichlid mixes.

  • nice setup only thing i would change is the fake plants with real ones. thnx for the upload tho good fish selection.

  • That would be nice but real plants and Oscars don't mix. Half of the fake plants have already been removed because the Oscars made toys of them.

  • Good diet ;)

  • how much u pay for those silver dollars bro

  • Don't really remember exactly but they were less than $10 each.

  • Oscars are one of the most intelligent fish that I've had... My oscar would get really excited when I came into the room... and he would pout and try to hide at the bottom of the tank when anyone else would come in... and I taught him to do tricks for his food : )

  • I will say oscars & bettas are the most intelligent aqurarium fish

  • my oscar is the dumbest fish ever lol

  • haha well... I guess we can call it the exception that proves the rule : )

  • Ooops, I think I erased somebody's comment. The reply and remove are way too close together.

Some days my Oscars seem extremely intelligent and other days I call them the "Meat Heads". :)

  • do the tiger barbs get along with the electric yellow cichlids\

  • They act as if they don't even know they are in the same tank together. Although every now and then a Tiger Barb will disappear in the middle of the night due to hungry Oscars. :)

And yes I knew the Oscars would probably eat the Tiger Barbs. I started with over 20 to cycle the tank. Six remain to this day and the remaining Tiger Barbs are bad asses.

  • do the electric yellow cichlids do anything to the barbs because im thinking of gettin one

  • No but in such a large tank they have plenty of room to avoid each other.

  • Theres alot of fish you didnt mention n that.

  • What you using for filtration for that big mama!!!

  • Check my other videos for my DIY wet/dry filter.

  • WOW!

  • nice, do they hav 900 gallons on the market? that would be amazing!

  • awesome!

    this is very big uq...

  • this is like my dream tank except mine wud have piranhas but yea that is like a crazy setup

are you a marine biologist or an engineer?

  • Thanks, I'm just somebody who enjoys the hobby :)

  • its very nice only a few fish in it and its just nice

  • Wow, I wish I had one that size! Nice SD's, they're one of my favorites in my tank.

  • Thanks! Nope, no tankbusters. I would like to keep it understocked.

  • Those fish look very content with so much space, it ill be even cooler when they are all adults and it still wont be overstocked.

Have you considered any tankbusters to keep in there?

  • how much did u buy this tank 4

  • i buy tank 4 a few $s

  • Great looking set up. Love the albino Oscar.

  • wow! How can you clean it ...it will take forever...!!!LOL!

  • I use an F-6 Mighty Magnet for the sides and a good ole gravel vac for the gravel, just let it drain outside. Three times a week I do a quickie water change and clean that takes 45 minutes and once a month I do a thorough cleaning that takes about an hour and a half.

  • I take that back,it's an F-4 Mighty Magnet.

  • What are the dimensions of your tank? Nice fish ;)

  • Thanks, it is 96" long x 30" deep x 24" tall.

  • greets from MFK. beautiful tank

  • Hey dewillget8

  • wow you must be nice and wealthy

  • I wish :)

    A lot of hard work.

  • finally someone that has a good tank for a lot of cichlids.thx bro nice job

  • Thanks. Most of the fish are still babies.

  • xD u got what i need .... nice tank and fishes, but if put some large size fish in it will be nice :D
