John Bush turned Anthrax from a good band to a superbly outstanding band. Armored Saint and Bush-era Anthrax are two of the best metal bands of all time, and Bush is definitely one of the best lead singers in all of metaldom.

@jtwidmer SoWN was a great album, but still can't touch Spreading the Disease or Among the Living. I love John Bush, but Joey is the voice of Anthrax. Glad to see Armored Saint back together so we can have both bands again.

SOWN was the album that came out around the time I was getting into metal and it was my first real introduction to Anthrax, so thats probably why I enjoy SoWN more than the others. Because I don't care for his other albums with them but I love Armed and Dangerous!

@jtwidmer I loved SoWN, but it sounded more like an Alice in Chains album than an Anthrax album. Bush never seemed comfortable in Anthrax, like he was just doing a job. This stuff is where he truly kicks ass. :)

comparing this to more modern metalbands (disturbed, dragonforce, alestorm,etc...) the difference between them is HUGE.

This band has that 'start of heavy metal' feeling to it, wich is awesome!

(not disliking more modern bands, but sometimes older sounding does bring you back :) )
