  • WE NEED MORE EARTHWORM JIM!!!

  • i remember this hey if any1 remembers the cartoon then thumb this comment up!

  • this game was very meh..... even back in the day i didnt particularly care for it

  • Why they are still rereleasing the same game? I'm tired of game. I love EWJ but the franchise needs a new game, something more appealing and less recycled.

Even they could add more gameplay stuff, use new ideas or use a new enemy. Or just add a plot to understand EWJ story.

  • Honestly, I think they should just make another EJ game instead of rereleasing and porting it constantly.

  • 2 best games from Interplay W+EWJ and Fall out

  • this game can,t played on the 3ds

  • Gameloft can't come up with anything semi-original, can they?

  • one of the best 2d games!

simply i think 2d games are much more fun than 3d games.

  • que buen juego lo jugaba en mi ps1

    sal2

  • I'm not sure "yet another port" is equivalent to "reborn". I bought this for the GBA almost a decade ago. Oh, wait, no "face recognition game," though! Nevermind. I'll be buying this again.

  • I got this game yesterday!!! :D

  • @MultiRaul78

    is it good

  • how much in uk

  • no psp

  • Gameplaywise, yes.

But mind you it's being played on a smaller screen; SNES has a smaller resolution than Genesis.

Also the music is fucking terrible in the SNES. No, I'm not taking sides to any battle, I'm stating fact. Compared to what it was capable of the SNES port's music was fucking trash. Shiny stepped up their game in EWJ2, which both ports' soundtracks come pretty close.

  • @shalpp Trash compared to what, the Sega CD version? Take a song like What the Heck?, the orchestral samples sound damned excellent, easily trouncing the Genesis version and competing with the Sega CD very well. Also the Sega CD version featured redbook audio mind you, so some difference in quality should be expected.

  • Trash compared to the Genesis

Sure it was sample based but it sounded so weak. Like the deal with SF2 on the consoles.

it didn't use the right tracks for some levels, the sound effects weren't used properly, so much as to them using the Genesis's sound effects for all versions of EWJ2

  • @shalpp i seem to recall EWJ being originally developed for the Genesis first, and some article with Tommy Tallerico giving preference to Sega's sound hardware too in an old Gamefan, limited though it may be.

  • Which is why the Genesis version's soundtrack was used as the base for the CD arrangement

  • this version is lacking in 2 levels

  • go to the its earth worm jim for pc

  • why another remake??????? make another game for xbox 360, ps3 or wii

  • Great game, I played it every day when I was 4 or 5, awesome sound effects and graphics back then, this windows 98 game was the best I played... and I can't wait to play it again on my DSi and on my PS3 :D

  • the only game that you'll ever hear the word Groovy being used, lol

  • Never mind what I said. EWJ4 was revealed to be a myth. At least the creator is interested in reviving the franchise anyway.

  • HMM THIS LOOKS PROMISING

Except it's based on the shitty SNES port of the game. :|

  • @shalpp The hell are you talking about...

It was the exact same freaking thing as the Genesis one except for a slight graphic and music change!

  • Dude! I REMEMBER THIS GAME! I GOTTA GET THIS! I only got to like the 4th level cuz I was like 3 years old XD

  • If they ever release Earthworm Jim 4(and I am positive they will someday), I'd like to have it released for the Xbox 360.

  • I'm sad that they don't have the original soundtrack on this one. It also seems to lag at time for no apparent reason. I like the fact that it's moble but it's a poor excuse for a revamp on the original. I also own a DSI XL so it shouldn't be laggy as far as I know.

  • Comment removed

  • I wonder if ppl who didnt like this idea had ever figured out that InterPlay may be using this as a mean to get funds for EWJ 4. Besides, the DSiWare and WiiWare always have crazy titles like this one, both old and new.

  • Gooviest adventure!?! WTF!?

  • @adanfime9 I think they have it on Itunes. It's in the album "Video Games Live"

  • awesome! i love that show!

  • GBA Eathworm Jim the same...

  • The Gooviest adventure reborn. Really? Gooviest?

  • i played this on snes and it was extremely hard.

  • This looks epic!!!

  • groovy!

  • Wow, what a waste. We have enough ports of this game. How about a completely new game? It's been 11 years since one has come out!!

  • @TheBradRules Your crying will not stop the game from coming out. But thanks for trying.

  • @Spacemonkeymojo....not my intention, but how many times can you port the same crap? The port didn't sell on the advance and it won't sell to an even younger audience obviously. But whatever, keep getting excited about the same nonsense over and over again.

  • @TheBradRules Many, many times as you can see. How do you know it won't sell on the DSi?

Also, I never said I was excited about this.

Does this game being released affect you in a negative way? Why get so worked up about it? I

  • @Spacemonkeymojo....Yes, it's ruining my life!!!! The release of this game will decide my very fate!!

  • @TheBradRules Thought so, go have a cry little girl.

  • pleaes please please i hope they bring battletoads to the dsi ware

  • Funny, this looks like the Sega Genesis version. The SNES version had a lens flair from the sun in the first stage.

  • maaaaaaaaaaaaan I remember playing half the stuff i saw in that trailer XD Damn I miss that game so much. Good times. Must buy for me for sure lol

  • great theme ive also heard it on wild 9

anyone knows the name of the song?

  • Im interested in what game was used for the port. The Sega CD release had CD quality audio. Would have been the best version to use.

Interested in it none the less though. If I didnt have the Sega CD version, I would probably get this.

  • @MerryGoFuckYourself:

You obviously never played a good game.

  • @jibberjabber84

Umm, sorry then. I'm from Belarus and know not so much about Canada, just that Southpark things.

  • They included an easy mode for players new to the series. I heard the originals were incredibally hard, so this is probably a good intro to the game for new players interested in the series. They have an original mode which has the classic's difficulty.

  • @LoOK1982 what you on about? it looks like a solid port

  • @AshmoreVid

I'm talking about broken animations, tasteless new graphic and lame sountrack remake. And most important - they make casual gameplay with all these stupid hints for retards.

It's not a game with a fun gameplay and strong art\animation anymore. It's a crap!

Look at snes and sega-CD ports of original megadrive EWJ game - they awesome! It's all because they done by strong professionals, not indian (or russian, canadian etc.) low-cost outsorcers.

  • @LoOK1982

(Just saying, many indians nowadays are actually better at Tech than most .)

Anyway, the gist of your comment is pretty much true.

  • @ThaPoopa

Yes, I know. I'm talking not about all indian (or belarussian, or whatever) outsorcers, but about very low-cost ones. Its about production quality of cheap workers, not about racist things at all.

  • @LoOK1982 Killing?! Are you freaking stupid?! They saved it from oblivion! They made a great adaptation of it for Mobile Phone AND iPhone! Moron!

  • @Tsukiyomaru0

    How old are you?

Your "EWJ saviors" just trying to make more money in lass time. They absolutely don't care about EWJ universe and the future of franchise. They using EWJ fans for those dtupid contests to make more money, and thats the only way how they care about fans.

I beleave, when you go to work for company like Gameloft, you will see how this things working. Now you just blinded by their PR system.

  • @LoOK1982 I'm old enough to have played EVEN Atari! Don't you think I ever played EWJ?! I played SNES version, Genesis version, GB version and PC version. I never played the 64 one because I don't like 3D games much. And who cares how they work it, what matters is that they are much better than some other companies that nerfs their mobile games way too much!

  • @LoOK1982 its a shame that interplay is now on bankruptcy i remember great games from them and shiny studios :(

i miss the good old days but it still quite impressive how earthworm jim stills alive in some way triying to make interplay come again from the ashes

hope EWJ 4 dont disspaoint us... but well they probabilly do :(

  • @LoOK1982 if they cared they would let Doug make an EWJ 4

  • @LoOK1982

Honestly...people just need to forget about the first game...DT's coming out with Earthworm Jim 4 anyways.

  • "THE GOOVIEST ADVENTURE REBORN" Who let that one sneak by?

  • @TSOX Then apparently he has been reborn like 5 times. XD INTERPLAY LET GO OF THE CLASSICS AND GIVE US SOME NEWS ON EWJ4!

  • @TSOX I think Earthworm Jim himself put that in.

  • @TSOX its grooviest

  • @ThePohio The video says "GOOVIEST." I was commenting on the typo.

  • The second screen does nothing...

  • DO WANT.

  • IF I DONT GET THIS I WILL SUICIDE MY SELF IN A MIXER!

I have always thought of a earthworm Jim game on the ds :D
