  • Hello, whe bin there nex jear, it was sad to see everything is burning out, and whe still missing koala sam, r.i.p. koala sam, and whe still loves you from the bottom of oure heart

  • AAAWWWWWW!!!! HOW CUTE!!!! WE WANT A PET KOALA!!

  • I read that chlamydia(sp?) had claimed this darling in August and I wonder what has been done to protect other koalas from this disease that is ravaging their population?

  • her story was really inspiring. i was really hoping she would get her happy ending.

    rip sam :(

  • Where can they release them together where they will be safe? I worry about it a bit..

  • You are both arguing with extreme views, but I'd just like to say caring for one species does not mean neglecting another. I have donated to both the red cross bushfire appeal and Victoria wildlife. (and while is disagree with KidsWithGuns1992 i respect their opinion and would certainly not say they were a child of Satan)

  • And why are people thumbs downing me?

What you disagree? You think we should pay more attention to burn victim animals instead of burn victim people?

Shit it seems I'm the only Australian who actually cares about our people.

  • Best wishes, Sam! Hope you have a speedy recovery.

  • Good on you sam! You and Bob have a great life. I think it's really amazing that she reached out to that fireman. WOW! She isn't keeping them illegally! Shes caring for the animals that survived the fire, she won't keep them all in her house, breeding like mice and attacking the nextdoor neighbours (Now that would be cool). She will let them go when they are well.

  • i thought it's illegal to keep koala bear at home? hope he will recover soon. i love them, wish i can keep one as pet, lol

  • It is illegal to keep them at home. Colleen has a wildlife rehabilitation centre, where she cares for injured wildlife like these koalas. This rehab centre is on her own property, and she would have brought them into the house for the tv interview.

  • Bless your heart, Samantha Koala!

  • I adore you Sam. You are the best

  • vicious??? Can't see that. I see an animal that was frightened and injured and reached out to a human. I think that's amazing... HUGS TO SAM and BOB!! (USA)

  • I've heard that koalas are not tame at all and can be very vicious. But these two are like pampered kitty cats. So, are koalas really tame at heart?

  • yes you have to watch out for those pesky koalas they call them drop bears here in oz coz when you walking through the bush of a night time they drop from the trees and attack you they are a very vicious animal

  • hahaha, you had to talk about the drop bears. So funny. I was told that by a few mates of mine over there, but my boyfriend assured me that it's just something you all like to say to fool, & freak out the tourists. I can take a good joke, is probably why most of my Aussie mates think I belong over there.

  • Actually they dont do that.

They arent vicious AT ALL; they're too docile to attack because they are always high off eucalyptus leaves.

  • @KidsWithGuns1992

dude, taking care of animals does not mean neglecting people. Animals are helpless and is our duty to help them when we can, WE are responsible for all the damage on this earth.

Besides ,what kind of cruel and inhumane, soulless sould would not feel compassion for an animal in need?

sorry mate but I am Christian and same way I ask God to help me, i will help other God''s creatures

you are too selfish to care for others and highly discriminate other species

  • @KidsWithGuns1992

You have a brain don't you? use it to understand that the fact that they have fur or walk using 4 feet DOES NOT MEAN they can not feel pain or have emotions. If you were them, i am sure you would beg for help. Use your intelligence to help and not to hurt others and to realize that animals in many situations are helpless and we should help them because we simply can.

You are a child of Satan, i hope you can open to Jesus

  • You are a child of Satan, i hope you can open to Jesus one day

  • Well damn, I can tell you have lots of brains following a bullshit God.

I'm not even going to bother with aruging with you, you're too blindsighted from your religion.

  • Where do you get a bear monkey like that

  • To all the wonderful compassionate people who help, save & care for these beautiful animals...bless your pure hearts and thank you for making the world a better place! Sam & Bob...are important symbols of hope and love.
