  • loved the those pushpin chlorophyll molecules. why didn't i think of that!?

    a couple of things:

    1) looks like the proton from the water molecule is going to the chlorophyll. (it's not...it's electron is going the way your arrow is pointing).

    2. protons are not pumped by ATP synthase. you said (and it is) passive transport

    3. looks like the proton gets attached to ADP an P but really it's the energy caused by that escaping proton that provides the energy for phosphorylation
