is every peta memeber an arftard. i mean they try to keep carnivores(animals that eat meat. just if you didnt know) from eating other animals. its wat they are built for
I don't like a lot of peta's more radical stuff, but I really agree with this. My family has two dogs and two cats and they are all spayed and neutered.
You know, I have never agreed with PETA, but really (I am laughing as I say this), it makes since.....I look around my neighborhood and see all these stray animals, then I look at my cat and dog and know that they have been fixed...Who ever would have thought a PETA commercial would make some sense in a humorous kind of way.
Oh dear, "undocumentedspot." "Cats and dogs have no legal duties." Well isn't that sophisticated of you to point out? I guess I'm going to be a jerk to point out that you haven't cleared up any great mystery for the rest of us, though I'm sure you feel you've stumbled upon a great epiphany for yourself.
Cats and dogs aren't the ones that PETA is claiming have a duty to spay and neuter themselves. It's the people who have that duty. You know, the ones who use spoken language and the internet.
jontylynn...oh i'm sorry i didn't realize this video was about the kkk and child molesters. silly me i thought it was a commercial from PETA so that's why i talked about them. i also didn't realize i was allowed to hate only 1 thing. thanx for bringing that to my attention
No, you can hate more than one thing. I'm just expressing my shock that you choose, of all things, PETA to hate. Should you hate civil rights and children's rights activists, I'd wonder at that, too.
You still haven't given a reason for hating PETA. Is it just because you're allowed to?
actually there are certain civil rights activists that i don't like. not because i don't like civil rights but because i don't like the tactics that those certain ppl use. that's the same reason i don't like PETA. just because i hate PETA doesn't mean i'm for the mistreatment of animals i just don't like PETA. i don't get why that's difficult to understand.
It's definitely not difficult to understand THAT you don't like PETA. What's difficult is to understand WHY -- mostly because you haven't said until your last post. Tactics, eh? Like what?
going into stores and destroying merchandise or on runways to do the same doesn't make ppl want to help them it just make ppl hate them more. there are other ways to get your point across and there are more effective ways to do so. they're into shock with no message
Some people here understand satire. Some people here are unable to mentally understand what satire is. People seriously suggesting PETA is encouraging parents to tell their children to have lots of sex are MORONS. Meanwhile, those who are intelligent enough to understand satire find this FREAKINGISHLY hilarious and powerfully insightful.
and some people does not understand the criticism against PETA like you thinking everybody taking the ad like PETA want to suggest parents should do that, most of criticism is that PETA making dogs and cats equal to humans in the same way, think deeply, you're not a dog.
well this message is sickly delivered, because we don't think ourselves as equal or inferior to animals, PETA should know it, but maybe they pretend not to. if animals are equal to humans, then we should apply our laws to them, meaning they will not be able to have sex in public. PETA against breeding, so after no-breeding nation, PETA will be whining about extincting cat and dogs.
wtf, what this has to do with my reply ? I simply disagree with them, and I disagree on how they deliver this message, not that their message is complicated or simple, there is nothing complicated in this or simple. Read my comment again, it is simple comment, maybe I need to simplify it to you, maybe I ll need to make ad proving to you that you as human is better than a chicken, and has better mental capability than a cat or so I think, and have duties, while cat, dogs have no legal duties.
it's a spoof that's not meant to be taken literally bcdjr1. The message is animal overpopulation is dangerous for these pets, and owners who actually care about animal survival this day and age, should really take neutering into consideration.
It isn't a spoof. It's meant to be "biting satire" that proves some sort of point. The only problem is that it completely misses the mark and ends up promoting, what? That parents should neuter their children? It's just plain poorly conceived.
it only seems poorly conceived if your brain is poorly configured to conceive. you know, how physics seems positively stupid to people because they have no idea what it means. life must be hard when everything seems like rocket science to you. is it like a giant fog following you everywhere you go?
Your example belies your shoddily feigned intelligence. Neither physics nor satire should be a mystery to a learned man of reason. When I see either delicate science being mishandled, I react negatively. I imagine that even the simplest of differential equations would seem beyond reproach to someone of your limited cognitive faculties, but the fact is that sometimes equations are incorrectly solved and sometimes satire misses the mark. People of my intellectual magnitude don't reward intent.
I can't believe you don't get this. And to boot, you think claiming superior intelligence for yourself proves that you're not stupid for not getting this.
What is PETA promoting? That you realize how wrong it is not to take responsibility for the reproductive capacities of your pets. Because if you love them, you don't give away their offspring like daisies.
(And no, PETA is not saying you should neuter your kids, but some sex education so that they can learn to be responsible for their own reproductive capacities would fall squarely under your responsibilities as their guardian).
I get what they were aiming for. They just missed the mark, is all. It's POOR satire. Being that they're not promoting sex education for pets, and are in fact proponents of neutering, this analogous "sex talk" does, in fact, inadvertently promote neutering your children. Satire is a difficult weapon to effectively wield even for intelligent people, let alone the gaggle of functional retards that make up PETA.
The satire element isn't in HOW you control their fertility, just THAT you control it. It concerns merely the fact that allowing these creatures (which we supposedly love) to reproduce unchecked with no thought as to how to care for their offspring is sick and wrong. It's as sick and wrong as encouraging our beloved children do the same, without any thought to how to care for their offspring.
PETA is saying if you really loved these creatures, you would care what happened to their offspring.
"This this is sick and wrong, and this other thing is also sick and wrong." That's really, really poorly drawn satire. They may as well have made a video of a Hitler's zombie gassing Katrina victims. Since, you know, it's sick and wrong. Just like not neutering your pets is also sick and wrong! It's satire!
There's an obvious parallel between allowing your pets to reproduce at will and giving their offspring away to strangers and doing the same with your children. For one thing, a lot of people claim to love their pets like children. For another, pets are dependent on us like children. And like children, they need guidance and protection from us.
This spot was aimed at people who think their pets have a right to reproduce as much as they want, and allow them to do so. It highlights how absurd and ultimately cruel and irresponsible such a practice really is.
i mean, it's just a spoof not meant to take literally. The message is that animal overpopulation is dangerous, and animal owners who actually care about the the survival of pets this day and age, should take it into consideration.
And what's the message people? That's right, spay or neuter your children... THEN tell them to have sex with anything that moves. Peta shoots... oh, just missed the mark.
AWESOME! both hilarious and insightful..PETA brings light to a serious issue we should all be thinking about, and makes it entertaining enough for people to pay attention. Hell yes!
Rock on! PETA gets pretty crazy sometimes, but I really like this ad. I just moved to a neighborhood that is full of strays. So sad! I'm trying to get them one at a time and have a local shelter pick them up. Hopefully they will be adopted, but I feel that death would be better than a life on the streets where they starve and continue to populate.
