  • Is there a way to transfer digital copy movies from computer to nabi or other tablet?

  • Quick question though... I downloaded a bunch of free games. Then my kiddo gets on the kid mode and unlocked some levels buy playing then it asked if she wanted to buy some levels. She hit "yes" it took $3.99 out of my account. While I don't care about $4... it will add up quick if I don't figure out how to block her on kid mode from purchasing anything. No password used, no mommy mode. Thoughts?? Thanks in advance. Renee.

  • @reneelazarrus, check out my other video for blocking access to the internet through in app ads. I show you what app protection app I'm using on my daughters Nabi. You can prevent access to the internet, market, appstore, etc. With this app you add any app you don't want your child accessing. If your child clicks on an ad a password prompt screen will pop up. The only way for your child to exit this screen is to hit the home button which takes them back to kidz mode.

  • Thank you so much for this video. I bought and returned 3 tablets for my 8 year old kiddo before finding the Nabi. Once I found this amazing tablet for my daughter I could not figure out how to download the market. You made it so simple and saved the night. Thanks a bunch.... Renee

  • i dont know a lot about computer how do i get the apk link

  • @capotucapo, if you click on the "show more" tab beneath this video you will see the download link =)

  • @capotucapo thank you ;) but is not letting me do it idk why

  • Hm, the Android Market application crashed immediately after start. Any help, please?

  • @skautflek, did you reboot before you opened the market? You'll need to uninstall & reinstall the market app. Once installed, DO NOT OPEN, choose Done. Reboot your Nabi. Once it's fully booted back up, go to mommy mode, pull up your app drawer & open up your Market app.

  • @mmescue I was using the latest version of the Market application (3.4.4). When I tried 3.3.12 it worked well.

  • I am having a lil trouble when I download the file and save it to me desktop the file dont look like yours it looks blank?

  • @ThompsonLove1, what do mean when you say it looks blank? I just checked the download and it looks like it should. Please describe what you see.

  • Thanks so much for posting this!!!! We've been going crazy trying to figure this out .. greatly appreciated!!

  • Just some further clarification please. So once I download the android market, whatever other apps I download, I can put in kiddie mode.? I haven't let he kids play with this yet cuz I'm still debating keeping it or getting them their own iPad

  • @goddessily, yes. Add them just like any other apps you add to Kidz mode....go to mommy mode, pull up your application drawer, click on "add apps". I haven't had any problems adding apps to Kidz mode.

  • @mmescue I'm having some issues with some apps removing themselves from Kidz mode on reboot. Can you try downloading talking tomcat 2 from the market, stick it in Kidz mode, and let me know if it remains accessible in Kidz mode after rebooting? Does anybody have any thoughts as to what might be causing this? Ant Smasher and Talking Tomcat seem to be the only culprits at this point, but I have about half a dozen apps installed that work flawlessly.

  • @chuloesq, go into your settings, applications, manage applications. Click on each app.that is removing itself from kidz mode & make sure it is installed on your phone & not your sd card. If you have the option "move to phone", click on it & this will move these apps to your phone storage. Right now the Nabi will not save the apps in Kidz mode if these apps are on your sd card.

  • @mmescue Thanks! Worked like a charm. Now if only I could make that talking tomcat app install itself on the device instead of external storage. Doesn't seem to be an option for that app.

  • @mmescue nevermind...figured it out. You just have to move the various outfit 7 apps to the device right after you download and install them and before you run them for the first time.

  • it does not allow me to download the links above. I get a pop-up stating windows needs to know what program to use to open the file, which program should i use?

  • @padillafocus, you do not want to open the files. When you click the download link you should have two options, open or save. You want to save these files to your desktop then drag & drop to your Nabi.

  • @mmescue thanks, figured out the problem was i dragged and dropped into NAND memory, not sd card.

  • @raynist, not a problem!!

  • @mmescue, just read your post on facebook, i was doing it wrong!! Thanks for the help!

  • @mmescue. None of the apps i purchases where running. Maybe i am trying to add them the wrong way? To add them i am in kidz mode and click the button on the bottom right with 9 squares. I do not see my android apps there. Is this the correct place? I see people reference adding them to kidz mode from mommy mode on facebook.

  • @raynist, hmmm...not really sur sure why that's happening. I have no trouble moving mine to Kidz mode. Something to try...go to mommy mode, settings, applications, manage applications, tap on "all". Scroll to Add Apps, tap on it & force stop it. Reboot your Nabi & try adding the apps again. Don't know if this will work but it's something to try. Let me know what happens. I haven't heard this from anyone else. Very odd.

  • Thanks, this worked great, however, how do I get these apps that I download to show up in Kidz mode? I can access and play them in mommy mode. The normal way to add an app to kids mode is not working for me as I do not see these android apps listed to add to kids mode.

  • @mistywjd, yes. I think I just answered you on fb....?

  • im only finding one drive which is removable Disk E:

do i have to out in my own sd card in order to download this??

  • @mistywjd, yes.

  • Installes and set up!!!

    Worked like a charm!! Thanks!
