@harrysimply : If I had to loop something,I would have to do it manually in a recording program by copy/paste the recorded section. I know that's not what you wanted to hear but regarding the pendrive and files etc. you might as well be asking a two year old child because he will know more about it than I do. Sorry! Recording audio is the only way I know how to do anything because I never figured out the pendrive and I will not attemp anymore to do so.

Why not use the onboard sequencer to record your backup tracks and play along with it or use a recording program on your computer to record AUDIO (not midi data)? That's the way I do it because I don't know of a better way to do it!

@harrysimply I know you did not ask me but, I use to have an MM6 and let me tell you it is great, the sound is very good ,and features are awesome, but you must have a good set of speakers, if you have some cheap speakers even the most expensive motif will not sound good. I sold my because my style of playing is more of a pianist than a keyboardist, (I think keyboardist is a correct?)
@harrysimply : Hey sorry for no reply till now. Been busy lately. The MM6 is great for what it is. A 600$ kybrd but really not more than that. I say that cuz it is very limited in editing. Got great sounding presets on it but if you try to do something special as far as effects go,well it's just not gonna let you do it. Exmpl: no tempo delay adjustment , no effects on split voices etc. Compared to motif? I'll just say since I got the motif rack my MM6 is a midi controller and that's it.

@Music01243567 : If you mean touch sensitivity of the keys, I do believe it is adjustable in a few steps and you can turn it all the way off in the menu somewhere.

About recording, I just record directly into the PC using an audio cable and a recording program,then later synchronize with the video in windows movie maker. : ) Thx
@music01234567 I just plug my mixer into the camera. Check my vids to see the results but remember I am a beginner at synths. I am starting to learn that to get the quality recording I want I need to use a PC & software. I just like doing stuff on the spot with the least amount of effort. It's crazy how some folk spend a hole day editing & uploading a 5 minute video. I wish I had the spare time.

@LewiG666 : Hi! Very simple on the motif rack because in "MULTI" mode it allows to set up a total of 4 layers of any sounds on the keys. Also with the high and low note limit adjustments I can make each sound as "wide" or "narrow" as I want to,and also with the note shift function I can sort of slide the sounds left or right to optimize where I want a particular sound to be on the keys.(think kick drum sound) So all tricks are in the rack itself!
@LewiG666 : A tone generator like my motif rack is just a box with some electronics in it. It does not come with keys to play it. So this box is full of great sounds but how can we listen to it? Well, it is made to receive MIDI signals and if the MIDI data comes from a keyboard through a MIDI cable then it contains information like which key did you strike,how hard,how long etc. A MIDI controller keyboard can send more info like cutoff knob position and a lot more but I can't explain all here: )
