This isn't even CLOSE to the record. Check out Dana Kunze's 172 foot dive, which is still the world record high dive without injury. You can find it by searching for "World Record Highest Dive (Dana Kunze ..."

There are even amateur cliff jumps from higher than 100 feet. Check out a kid who leaps from a 117 feet perch. The YouTube is entitled "Devil's Diving Board."

To my knowledge, there are no YouTubes of the 177 foot dive in which a French diver broke his back, but lived.
