She actually tried to test out her money making wedding schemes on us that she was thinking of when we met her...ugh...! And afterwards, Iris and the band leader did NOT refund any of our monies and just pretty much dismissed us despite our expressed anger and HUGE disappointment. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BAND. If you any further questions, please let me know. I have emails of our disappointment expressed on email and their pathetic responses back from them. It's embarrassing.
Oh and the pre-wedding planning which we requested was pretty much denied. Iris said that it was SOOO unusual for a couple to want to talk with the band or band leader. When she finally set up a phone conference call after much insistence, we couldn't hear the band leader AT ALL on either end so Iris was supposedly the middle person 'translating' our messages...it was very sketchy. SHE IS SKETCHY.
It was so bad a performance that the wedding professional DJ who was there for my lighting (and DJ'ed at my sister's amazing wedding) actually came up to me afterwards and said that he wished he had brought his music to help us out!!! Now THAT'S embarrassing. SERIOUSLY?!
. and their dinner of course was paid for...which they ate SLOWLY. It was such a hot mess and once they realized that my husband and I were upset, they FINALLY went back on stage to perform. We specifically asked only for the latest music from the past 5 years only and they did NOT do as requested. They performed oldies as well as cheesy bat mizvah music like 'jump jump.' It was a disaster.
Everyone else was someone different from the advertisement. And thus they DO NOT sound like the false advertisements online. The band took a LOT of breaks...and when my sister and brother in law asked them to come on stage to perform since people were trying to dance to their 'back up music' (which sucked since it was like this techno music weird thing) while they were on ANOTHER break, they actually yelled at her and told her that they needed more breaks!! OMG.
We felt that a band was SOOO important so we invested a lot of money and energy into researching an amazing band for a good price. We hired Respekt but the people who showed up and performed on our wedding were NOT the same group which is advertised. And definitely NO frank sinatra singer..!! The band members have changed SIGNIFICANTLY since then...hence a change in the quality of the performance overall. The ONLY person who was the same was the white tall singer.

This is why people get DJ's. Most wedding bands these days are made up of musician who didn't make it in the 80's. it just too cheesy.

The music here is meant for the party at the reception, not for the wedding ceremony. Usually the party reception rocks!
